fantasy premier league – the early gameweek 26 bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s the fantasy premier league early gameweek 26 bandwagons and sinking ships ie the 3 most transferred in players this week in fantasy premier league and the 3 most transferred out

The Bandwagons

it will be no surprise to any one that the bandwagons are about the double gameweek 26 for Liverpool and Swansea

Sturridge

With  homes games against WBA and Swansea the Liverpool strike force is an obvious place to start in your preparations for the double game week.  He isn’t playing for against Brazil midweek  due to a thigh injury he picked up in the game against Man City.  There’s not much news about his likelihood of recovery for GW26 alhough the official site says 75% chace of playing.  He hasn’t really shown up in the shooting stats regularly despite  3 goals in his last 4 games and 1 assist. I’m not sure about him as a regular participant in my team, I prefer the overall contribution and consistent shooting stats of Suarez, especially as apart from the Arsenal game weve seen Suarez maintain a central role and despite being the nominally deeper forward there’s been enough position swapping with Sturridge to keep faith in him.    However for the double game week Sturridge is a BUY as far as I’m concerend

Gerrard

5 goals and 7 assists in his last 9 is an amazing record for someone who is nominally part of the more withdrawn midfield of Liverpool.  He isn’t scoring goals in the way of say Michu or Fellaini by getting in to the box but seems to get them with set piece duties including penalties plus the odd screamer.  Has only in his recent run featured in the shooting stats however  he is the leading creator of chances in fantasy premier league.  Personally in the longer term I would always go for the advanced midfielders but for the double game week he’s a definite BUY.

Sissoko

Had a fantastic debut including 2 goals, a very advanced average position and the best shooting stats for the round.  All very encouraging  and a reason to buy.  however his goal ratio for Toulouse isn’t anything fantastic 20 goals in 192 games so I would like to see how he fares shooting wise and position wise against spurs this weekend before reviewing it before the Saints home game.   This is especially the case as most people will be looking to draft in payers for the double game week

The Sinking Ships

Ba

Has already had the maximum £0.3m price drop so wont drop anymore.  Facial injury with 50% of starting according to the site.  A natural swap for Suarez and Sturridge for the double game week, its no surprise that he’s going down.  He does have a home game against Wigan although even in the unlikely event that he does recover then he will probably make way for Torres.  The injury,  the rotation and the double game week for Liverpool and Swansea make it a sell for me.

Defoe

Has an ankle injury which AVB hopes will only be 2 to 3 weeks and the official fantasy premier league site even says back on the 25th Feb which is GW27.  However for the same reasons as Ba with the double game week and more so as other reports have speculated that the injury could be worse plus the return of Adebayor soon to diminish his effectiveness then its a SELL for me

Cazorla

A natural sacrifice for Stephen Gerrard.  In addition, the emergence of Walcott also means for those not wanting to double up on the Arsenal midfield then its a natural sell.  However lets not kid ourselves its 1 goal and 2 assists from 7 games and he just isn’t worth the money compared to the rest of the midfield assets screaming for selection at the moment.  Its a SELL for me.
