Here are some of the best choices ahead of the end-of-season run-in.

Goalkeeper: Nick Pope- £4.9 Million

After Tom Heaton got injured for Burnley at the start of September, many of their fans feared the worst. An unknown Nick Pope came into the fold out of nowhere. The rest they say is history. Pope has done a brilliant job of replacing the Clarets’ 2016/17 Player of the Season, keeping nine clean sheets which have put him 6th on the list for the Premier League Golden Glove award.

As Burnley face no team inside the top six within their next eight league games, Pope could be in line for even more shutouts. Their next match against Brighton presents another clean sheet opportunity as only 4 sides have scored less at home than The Seagulls and they are coming up against a defence that has conceded the fourth equal lowest amount of goals this season. Pope is currently only at £4.9 million with a total of 116 pts, so make sure you sign the young Englishman for your team as soon as you can.

It’s worth noting though that Pope will face competition from the returning Heaton who has just played in a behind closed doors game v Blackpool on the road to being available for the first team after months out

Defender: Alfie Mawson- £5.1 Million

Sticking with the trend of young English players, Alfie Mawson is certainly worth a look in your defensive lineup as Swansea are beginning to build up a head of steam. Under their new gaffer, Swansea has picked up some excellent results, and the 24-year-old defender has been at the heart of their recent good form. An impressive clean sheet against Liverpool resulted in Mawson scoring the winning goal in their 1-0 victory. Followed up with a 3-1 win over Arsenal, the Swans have showed marked improvements.  Mawson with his aerial ability is the outstanding attacking option for the Swansea defence

Swansea faces five teams in the bottom half of the table over their next six fixtures.   Alfie Mawson is a serious threat at set-pieces since his introduction into the starting lineup, forming a great partnership with Federico Fernandez in the process. Swansea will be hoping to keep their good form going against Brighton as it is vital to take points from the teams directly around them. Like Nick Pope, Mawson is a steal at £5.1 million.

Mawson is a slight doubt going into GW28 after injuring himself in the warm up at the weekend so check the Friday manager press conferences for further information.

Midfielder: Gerard Deulofeu- £6 Million

Watford picked up three huge points recently as they demolished a 10-man Chelsea team, 4-1, at Vicarage Road. One of the key contributing players to the shock result was Gerard Deulofeu, who ran the show for the Hornets. The Blues defenders couldn’t stop him with his tricky dribbling and silky skills, and Deulofeu was awarded Man of the Match after scoring his new side’s third goal. Like Swansea, they have a new manager, Javi Gracia, who looks as though he has instilled confidence and quality into the squad. With free-flowing attacking play clearly at the forefront of his mind, Deulofeu will undoubtedly improve and was one of the stand-out players of game week 26 with 13 points.

Watford has a few easier fixtures coming up, and their Spanish wideman is expected to take advantage of those. They host Everton and West Brom next, both sides are outside of the top eight with weaker defences. The former Barcelona man has experience playing in big games, and these are certainly big games concerning Watford’s season, as these will make or break their push away from the drop zone. For what should be quite a low fee, it is definitely worth investing in the ex-Everton Barcelona loanee. Watford is now an extreme long-shot for relegation with most bookies, but in case you think it’s worth a punt you can review the latest football betting tips for a good offer on a possible surprise-demise for Watford this season. At £6 million, Deulofeu is an in-form midfielder to add to your team.

Striker: Callum Wilson- £6 Million.

SOURCE: CALLUM WILSON BY CHRIS PARKER VIA FLICKR

The final player for you to sign in your fantasy premier league team is Callum Wilson, who is entering another purple patch in the Premier League. Injury wrote off the first part of his season, and while it has taken Wilson a while to get going again after his cruciate ligament rupture, he is back to his goalscoring best. Wilson’s talent was on display as Bournemouth claimed a historic 3-0 away win against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Scoring the Cherries’ first goal, Wilson added an assist and was considered Man of the Match by a large percentage of Bournemouth fans.

With games against Newcastle and Leicester coming up, the 25-year-old will be desperate to add to his seven league goals this term.  The newly-promoted side won’t want to face the inform striker who received a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award for January.

At £6 million and seventh in the FPL form table with 5.3, the English striker will be a bargain buy for your side. He has a  high likelihood of scoring in the next two games, now is the time to buy.

It’s time to get your fantasy premier league team back on track with these top selections. Even with limited funds available, you can still get your hands on these top players and get some results on the board.
