Here’s our article where we continue with our experimental alternative FFGeek teams for GW3. First it’s our bookies team and then our shots on target team. It’s pretty late so it’s a bit brief but shows you the transfers and how we got there
fantasy premier league tips – the experimental FFGeek alternative teams
So remember the idea here is that every 2 weeks we change the teams using the bookies odds for anytime goalscorer for that team and shots on target as an underlying stat for that team. It’s just a way of seeing the correlation between the 2 ways of picking players as a subject of interest. Within reason the sides will look to keep the defence stable and change attacking players. The explanations this week are brief due to the time but it’s my intention to do more at the next round of transfers. Whats interesting is with both fixtures and ownership are irrelevant
Here’s the link to the original article to explain how it would work.
The bookies team
The bookies team has had a disastrous start at 1.469m overall rank
Transfers
Fischer out Bolasie in
Firmino out – Townsend in
With Fischer of Middlesborough not selected he had to go. Bolasie was easily the best odds at £2.62 as a replacement. Gray who was £3.60 against Chelsea had to go but with Bolasie more expensive than Fischer the funds just weren’t there to transfer him. So Firmino at £3.30 got the chop for the cheapest alternative of Townsend. Both Lamela and Townsend were £3.30 to score anytime but Townsend was cheaper. This left decent funds for next time in the bank.
Interestingly Costa is shorter odds to score than Ibrahimovic so he stays
Aguero was the best odds for the captain.
Here’s the team:
The shots on target team
Doing better at an overall rank of 256k
Sanchez out – Hazard in
Carroll out – Llorente in
Sanchez has had a disastrous start with terrible shots on target so he gets the chop. Carroll is injured so he goes for that reason. Kane was close to going but escaped. The other midfielders performed well for the metric so are staying.
Coutinho or Walcott could have been Sanchez’s replacements but with Coutinho an injury doubt and with Walcott a questionable selection Hazard got the nod as next best.
As a cheap forward replacement Llorente was clearly above anyone else and got the nod. Should be interesting given the fixtures
