fantasy premier league tips – FFGeek team for GW2

Fantasy Premier League

Well there are very few times that a transfer could have been less satisfying than this gameweek.  Here’s my fantasy premier league tips article where I outline my transfer for GW2 and the cogitating behind it, the team selection dilemmas and the captain choice

Well those who came to the website will know that the transfer that has been on my mind is the transfer of Aguero out and Benteke in.  Aguero has to come back for GW4 home to Watford minimum which is the frustrating part.  This was mainly due to the favouritism of Benteke in the captain selection polls and my lack of faith in the Bournemouth after watching the Villa game.  By the way it’s not just me about Bournemouth.  They are the least likely to keep a clean sheet according to one bookies and the game thats most likely to see 4 goals or more.

Firstly here’s the team:

The transfer

I had 2 potential transfers in my mind.  The first was the transfer that I ended up doing.  That is Aguero out and Benteke in.  As I will want Benteke in for the home games against West Ham GW4, Norwich GW6 and Aston Villa GW7 then he will probably stay in the team.  That means a straight choice between Rooney at home to Newcastle in GW3 or the ultimate insult of bringing Aguero back away to Everton at the expense of Rooney.  At the moment I’m thinking Rooney will stay and I will take a view on Aguero away to Everton.

What it has done has made me think more carefully about the captain options going forward. No point in continually shaking my head at how I got into this position just have to learn from it.

The other option I did think about Walcott out for Payet in as a transfer but I thought as I had Sakho it was probably a bit much to go for 2 West Ham players.  I also thought  about Walcott out for Lens of Sunderland.  Both would give me money to strengthen the Sinclair position but the fear regarding Benteke drove me on.

The team selection issues

In defence Gomez and Jones were always going to be in the team even if both have gametime issues.  Gomez will always have the more attacking shadow of Moreno over his shoulder.  Jones along with the rest of the Sunderland defence against Leicester was awful and was subbed after 53 mins to make it worse.

There was no way Huth would go into the team away to West Ham and Surman is my serial benchwarmer

I went for Azpilicueta just because of how successful Chelsea were at parking the bus last season against the top sides.

That only left 1 dilemma in the selection process.  Sinclair or Targett of Southampton.  The Man Utd defence had it’s shaky moments in the Spurs game but they mindset was clearly more defensive. That gave the edge to Targett so I’ve put him in and played a rare 4-3-3

Everyone else was pretty straightforward.

The captain question

No need to explain that.  Having bought Benteke back it made no sense not to make him captain.

Thats it.  Hope the gameweek goes well for you.  Good luck
