Here’s the fantasy football geek team for GW15. The transfer made was a particularly frustrating one in that I transferred out Chadli for his more expensive team mate Eriksen. I’ll talk you through the transfer theory and the selection issues but first here’s the team. On the bench which you can’t see is Marney, O’Shea and Dummett and GK Gilks
This is my tough week with 8 of the 11 players playing away.
Transfer wise I never wanted to transfer out Chadli and had him in with the good run of fixtures coming up in mind. However injury and him being on the bench the last 2 games meant that I really didn’t want to leave it and so I put Eriksen in. My transfer choice was between Downing and Eriksen. Downing would have given me funds to invest in my defence as I have been trying to get Chambers in since Debuchy got injured!. However I thought the 4 Spurs fixtures were better than the West Ham ones so I gambled on Eriksen. I won’t be looking at the team sheet for Spurs with any relaxed attitude though as the Pochettino’s unpredictable rotation policy and the Europa league plus Xmas coming means anything is possible.
As to selection of the players once the transfer was done that was pretty straightforward. The front 7 pick themselves so the defence is the only issue. Azpilicueta obviously starts every game. Dummett and O’Shea were always going to the bench with their fixtures so Duff and Moore made the team. Leicesters Morgan did me a favour by getting sent off which should mean Moore comes into the Leicester team. Duff is injured so O’Shea will probably come in for him unfortunately. I went for him over Dummettt as I just can’t see Chelsea not scoring even with the Sunderland hiccup recently.
The captain pick couldn’t have been any more straightforward. Aguero all the way. In recent games I’ve gone for a non European competition player (ADM until he got injured) as the vice but Mourinho seemed fairly certain Costa would play having been suspended midweek and with the Champions league game being a non event then I can’t see him not starting. So Costa is the vice
