fantasy premier league tips forwards GW32 – player rankings

This is the 3rd article in our player rankings series. See the defender and GK player rankings plus the midfield player rankings

Methodology

I’ve generally started with a selection of forwards who have fixtures and I think will start in GW32 and have some longevity in the team.

I’ve then looked at their expected goals and assists data in 18/19 so far as well as how it relates to their historical numbers. After that I’ve then adjusted it for their ability to over/underperform, their bonus potential, their fixtures over the next 6 and any specific 18/19 factors and numbers.

There is no adjustment for upcoming fixture strength as the relevant fixtures depends on your chip situation.

Stats definitions

PP90 mins adjusted: I’ve taken their Points per 90 and adjusted them for average minutes played in the last 10 games.

FFG Proj PPG: The PPG going forward using the above methodology adjusted for minutes played

Consistency: the % of starts where the player has scored a goal or assist. Only appearance of 45 mins or more count

Average mins last 10: The average minutes played when starting in the last 10 gameweeks.  (Except Lukaku where it wasn’t representative of his minutes going forward at all)

ATGS odds – 1 bookies anytime goalscoring odds for the player. It assumes they start and doesn’t include assist potential. There are no odds for game 2 so I’ve included the team odds

Form ranking: See my form article. These are their rankings among forwards for the last 10 and 5 gameweeks. NA means they didn’t play enough minutes to qualify.

Player values are as of 26 March

The schedule

The players are ranked on their ongoing FFGeek points per game assessment.

There is no adjustment for upcoming fixture strength as the relevant fixtures depends on your chip situation.

  1. Aguero is so irrelevant lol. No matter what happens we will essentially all have him. For free hitters it is probably actually better if he and Sterling blank this week, as they will be well represented with TC. It kind of takes the fun out of them!

  2. @Darren he’s been disappointing for me so far. I currently have Rashford, Aguero and Jimenez up front. However if no positive news comes through on Rashford I’ll do a last minute switch to Higuain (which I can afford by downgrading Young to Lindelof).

  3. Marc… I’m the same. Rashford to Higuain should Ole (newly made permanent I am happy to report) state he is not fully fit. Higuain has been disappointing for sure, but has decent chance of getting at least one goal against Cardiff and Brighton you’d feel.

  4. Anyone else thinking of just going with Augero, and 2 bench players?

Had Rashford and Zaha on my wildcard, but if the press conferences hint they are injured I’m thinking of Augero with a 5 big hitter midfield and 4 good defenders and GK.

So much money to spend, more points for a goal, and I’m not really sold on any of the other striker options.

  5. He’s just so expensive it doesn’t seem worth downgrading the rest of team or sacrificing Aguero / Sterling / Hazard. Given the choice I’d probably take Hazard out and switch to Jota/Mili but I’m happy enough with my current setup.
