Are you certain of what you’re doing here in fantasy premier league? Below I’ve done a team without RVP and 2 with RVP in a table below so you can see the differences that have resulted.
By way of background, the core of my team that I want apart from RVP would be Hazard, Walcott, Coutinho, Soldado and Dzeko/Silva. The first team with RVP kept the core of that team, the other sacrificed Coutinho .

So in simple terms here’s the sacrifices made to get RVP into the team
No RVP to RVP 1 (this team retains my core)
the differences are:
Cole out – Clyne in
Koscielny out – Collins in
Mata out – Koren in.
Anelka out – RVP in
Generally I believe in maximising the double game weeks and having RVP totally ruins that in this team. However it does show the path from having no RVP in the team to having RVP in 3 transfers plus a 4 point hit to get ready for GW4 where the Crystal Palace game is. The alternative to a 4 point hit is to downgrade the team and keep some cash in the bank. I’m not really a fan of planning such a major overhaul at the beginning of the season though as you never know what you have to do to you team and having 4 transfers planned out isn’t ideal. What if Anelka and Dzeko don’t start for example?
No RVP to RVP 2 (This team sacrifices Coutinho)
Koscielny out – Collins in
Mata out – R Morrison in
Coutinho out – Mirallas in
Anelka out – RVP in
Again it shows a 3 part way to get there with a 4 point hit.
So what does this mean?
This is very interesting. You lose something in the double game week although Mata may have only played 1 game anyway and then in the long term 2 quality midfielders for Mirallas plus a downgrading of the defence but it does give captain security.
I hate to say it but I’m still a little unsure and are going to take some time to think about it.
