fantasy premier league transfer deadline day – part 3

News

With the transfer window closed heres the final few stories including Dempsey, Benayoun, Bendtner, NZonzi and Essien

Dempsey to Spurs

Wow.  As long as you dont think spurs will go turn in to an AVB Chelsea meltdown this was some transfer window for them.  With their fixtures it is essential you have some spurs coverage and in my mind bale is still the best option but Dempsey should play in an advanced position if not behind the striker and could cause chaos.  In 4-3-3 i think they will ultimately line up (once Parker is back)  from mid as Parker, Dembele Siggy and then Bale Adebayor and Dempsey. In 4-2-3-1 it will be Parker and Sandro/Siggy then Dembele Bale and Dempsey.  I cant see him lining up tomorrow but its all very interesting and just cannot be good news for Siggy.  In telegraph fantasy football hes ridiculously cheap at £4.3m especially compared to Bale at £5.5m

Benayoun to West Ham

I rate Benayoun his stats are good prior to Chelsea.  In 2009/10 he  scored 6 goals plus 4 assists in 19 starts plus 11 sub.  At £6.3m in fantasy premier league I would prefer Nolan but he really could make an impact.  In telegraph fantasy football its £3.2m for Ben vs £3.3m for Nolan so same story there.  monitor.

Nzonzi to Stoke

Def mid playing for a goal shy rugby team.  Not for me.  The negative for stoke is that it could curtail £4.5m defender in fantasy premier league Cameron playing in midfield

Bendtner to Juve

Anyone who owned him deserves a blank this game week

Popov (LB) to WBA

Ive talked up Ridgewell and obviously the less competition for him the better but at this stage I wouldn’t get unduly concerned given Ridgewells form

Benteke to Villa

He’s a young striker at 21 but has a good scoring record albeit in Belguim he scored 16 goals and 9 assists in 36 games in the league. this could really cause some problems for Ireland if Lambert goes 2 up top and those looking at Cheapie Weiman really now should look to off load

Essien to Real Madrid

Gone on loan to Madrid.  How did it come to this for the guy who was once up there with the best midfielders in the league.  May give more security to Mikel otherwise no effect
