Here’s our fantasy premier league transfer tips GW24 article where we analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers. These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection.

Introduction
The criteria I’ve always been looking for is managers who’ve finished in the top 10k for the last 3 years when FPL has become considerably harder due to the amount of people playing and the information available.
The 10 managers stats
I’ve given the identities and FPL IDs of the 10 FPL managers in the FFGeek Patreon site
It includes our very own Yaniv Salomon who you can follow on twitter here
These managers are incredible and every bit as impressive as last season.
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 3,860
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. 7 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
4. 1 of the 10 have finished in the top 100 in the last 3 seasons
Their basic stats after GW23 Sunday
There were 7 green arrows and 3 red arrows
The average points score in GW23 after Sunday was 63 net of point deductions for extra transfers. It’s worth noting that most of the managers have Dallas/Bamford for the Monday night game.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers was 75k.
The median overall rank was 25k
The average total points are 1,478.
The average team value was £106.0m.
The combined total of individual players
I’ve generally only included where there is a minimum of a player in 3 out of the 10 FPL managers teams
Goalkeeper/Defence by player
Martinez is in 9 of the 10 FPL managers teams
Dallas and Cancelo are in 7 of the 10 FPL managers teams
Coufal and Dias are in 6 of the 10 FPL managers teams
Pope and Mee are in 4 of the 10 managers teams
Justin and Stones are in 3 of the 10 FPL managers teams
Goalkeeper/Defence by team

Villa are represented 9 times in the 10 FPL managers teams
Burnley and West Ham are represented 8 times
Leeds are represented 7 times in the 10 FPL managers teams
Man Utd and Leicester are represented 3 times in the 10 FPL managers teams
Midfielders
Salah and Fernandes are in 10 of the FPL managers teams
Gundogan is in 9 of the 10 managers teams
Son is in 7 of the 10 FPL managers teams

No other player was transferred out more than once
Wildcards and Chips
1 manager has used his 2nd wildcard
4 have now used their triple captain chip
3 managers have used their bench boost
No chips were used this gameweek
The top 10k overall rank vs the 10 FPL managers
Here’s a comparison between the top 10k overall rank ownership % and the 10 top FPL managers. The differences in the 3rd column are narrowing
The 10 top managers favour Martinez, Dallas and Gundogan significantly more than the top 10k
The top 10k favour Justin, Stones and Soucek more than the 10 top Managers
The template
I use the 10 managers as a proxy for serious managers teams and have a basic rule of thumb that if 7 of the 10 managers have a player or a team defence then I will seriously consider getting that player .
Here’s the template on that basis. The difficulty with tracking the template is that you’re 1 game behind it as you obviously can’t see what their transfers are leading up to the gameweek opening.
Villa defence – Martinez
Leeds defence – Dallas
Man City defence – Dias and/or Cancelo
West Ham defence – Coufal
Burnley defence – Pope or Mee
Salah
Fernandes
Son
Gundogan
Bamford
Antonio
Calvert Lewin
Incredibly that’s 12 players. A full 11 player template team with only Coufal, Mee and Dallas rotating in the starting 11 on fixtures
One managers team
Here’s the manager with the highest score of 82 this week with Dallas to go.
This managers current overall rank is 20k and total points of 1,482. His TV is £105.7m. He has used his free Hit and Bench Boost
His last 3 seasons are 2k, 7k and top 500. He has 9 of the 12 template players. His template replacement player for Coufal is Justin, his template replacement player for Bamford is Watkins and lastly Rashford for Son.
The combined 10 top FPL managers teams
Here’s a team which tries to make a combination from the most represented players. Please note that it is meant to be a menu of players to help you choose your transfer rather than a realistic team and it’s value is not necessarily achievable. This week it is achievable by some at £106.4m
