Here’s our fantasy premier league transfer tips GW26 article where we analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers. These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection. There were wildcards this week so some significant changes in the teams make up

Introduction
The criteria I’ve always been looking for is managers who’ve finished in the top 10k for the last 3 years when FPL has become considerably harder due to the amount of people playing and the information available.
The 10 managers stats
I’ve given the identities and FPL IDs of the 10 FPL managers in the FFGeek Patreon site
It includes our very own Yaniv Salomon who you can follow on twitter here
These managers are incredible and every bit as impressive as last season.
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 3,860
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. 7 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
4. 1 of the 10 have finished in the top 100 in the last 3 seasons
Their basic stats after GW25 Sunday
There were 7 green arrows and 3 red arrows
The average points score in GW25 after Sunday was 49 net of point deductions for extra transfers. With it being a DGW and games on Monday and Tuesday there’s alot more to come
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers was 69k.
The median overall rank was 17k
The average total points are 1,634.
The average team value was £106.1m.

The 2 wildcard teams
Manager 1
This managers points total after Sunday was 45. He;s currently on 1503 points and an overall rank of 499k. His team value is £103.7m. He’s ranked last of the 10 managers. Despite this he’s absolutely no mug. His last 3 seasons are 3k, top 500 and 1k
Manager 2
This is FFGeek Contributor Yaniv Salomon’s team. You can follow Yaniv on twitter here btw
Yaniv’s points total after Sunday was 55. He’s currently on 1,610 points and an overall rank of 39k. His team value is £106.2m. He’s ranked 8th of the 10 managers. His last 3 seasons are 3k, 4k and 8k
The top 10k overall rank vs the 10 FPL managers
Here’s a comparison between the top 10k overall rank ownership % and the 10 top FPL managers. The differences in the 3rd column are narrowing but this week did shake things up a bit
The 10 FPL managers favour Areola, Dias, Raphina and Ings significantly more than the top 10k
The top 10k only really favour Stones significantly more than the 10 top FPL managers
The template
I use the 10 managers as a proxy for serious managers teams and have a basic rule of thumb that if 7 of the 10 managers have a player or a team defence then I will seriously consider getting that player .
Here’s the template on that basis. The difficulty with tracking the template is that you’re 1 game behind it as you obviously can’t see what their transfers are leading up to the gameweek opening.
Villa defence – Martinez
Leeds defence – Dallas
Man City defence – Dias and/or Cancelo
Burnley defence – Pope or Mee
Salah
Fernandes
Gundogan
Raphinha
Bamford
Ings
Incredibly that’s 11 players. A full 11 player template team with only Mee and Dallas rotating in the starting 11 on fixtures
One managers team
I won’t show a team this week as I’ve posted the 2 wildcard teams
The combined 10 top FPL managers teams
Here’s a team which tries to make a combination from the most represented players. Please note that it is meant to be a menu of players to help you choose your transfer rather than a realistic team and it’s value is not necessarily achievable. This week it is achievable at £104.2m
