FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE WILDCARD TIPS GW13 – OUR IMAGINARY WILDCARD

Fantasy Premier League, imaginary wildcard

Here’s our fantasy premier league wildcard tips article GW13 where we pretend we have a wildcard to use. It gives you some player picks with more longevity than just the next gameweek. It also puts those picks within a structure and a team value that is realistic. Lastly it brings together our player picks articles in the “ones to watch” player rankings series.

It’s a very short article. There’s no stats but go to our “ones to watch” articles where there will be detailed stats on each player. Here’s the links in each position:

Defence

Midfield

You can also check on individual players fixture rankings in our fixture ease article and how many of the ten top FPL managers we follow have them in their team.

So here’s the team. It’s at a relatively affordable value at around £103.3m

So the Wildcard team has Alonso, Kane and Hazard who play each other and in some ways it’s one week to early for them to be in your team.  However Hazard’s form demands his entry potentially for the long term as does the Chelsea defence.  Kane is more about the fixtures of Swansea, Hull and Burnley at home in the 4 games after the Chelsea game.  Out of the Champions League he becomes less of a rotation risk.

The 2 Liverpool midfielders pick themselves at the moment especially with Sunderland next.  Walcott is in again for the fixtures of Bournemouth, West Ham and Stoke next.  He was carrying an injury but did play the last 10 minutes of the PSG game so can’t be that injured.  Could do with monitoring over the day.  De Roon saves £0.1m over Fletcher as a benchwarmer only.  Anichebe is the money saver to get the rest of the attacking team.  He does have gametime risk though having only just come into the team and effectively giving Sunderland 2 strikers.  Whether he will play against Liverpool is another matter.  Thats why me defence is relatively strong.  You could downgrade the defence and upgrade Anichebe or De Roon to say Zaha or Stanislas

I’m still in the keep Aguero camp.

I’ve still spent quite a bit of cash on defence and if you didn’t want Anicehbe who has gametime risk still then you would need to downgrade the defence and upgrade Anichebe to Austin or Rondon.  The stronger defence does allow you to play 4-4-2 on occasions if you can’t or don’t want to play Anicehebe.  Alternatively as I said above downgrade the defence and upgrade De Roon to Zaha or Stanislas

In defence I’ve kept with Stones as I am still holding on to the belief that Man City will keep clean sheets.  Holebas is in for his attacking potential.  Amat is back in the Swansea team and the only real £4.1m option.  Cedric is good value for the strong Saints defence at £4.9m.

Here’s how it would look like from an anytime goalscoring and clean sheet odds perspective
