McDonalds

Total points 137.  Overall rank 127k no Wildcard or Chips used

Not a great day with only Miranda a success.  A marginal overall rank gain which undoubtedly will be lost today

Todays changes

It’s round 3 now.  You need to make your round 3 transfer before the first kick off of 3pm UK time

I have Honda of Japan and Sabaly on the bench.  I will wait to see the first game lineups before I change the team and will tweet them then.

I will probably leave Lukaku in the team despite him not looking like he will play.  I guess he could come off the subs bench.

I’m not sure what to do about a captain change.  I may just leave it on Jesus.  Trippier should play although it’s definitely not guaranteed.  I would be surprised if England keeps a clean sheet though which adds to the tough decision.  If Honda starts I would give it to him.  I can’t see Senegal keeping a clean sheet v Colombia

If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles.  Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least that they played in Round 1 and 2 before you pick anyone and also look at the probable lineups below

Here’s the team for today prior to any transfers:

Sun Dream Team

Total points 206 Overall Rank 58k  transfers used 12 out of 20

So a gain on the day of 7k overall rank which was disappointing although the Brazilians played their part.  The German game was a complete disaster

Firstly here’s a link to my timeline article so you can see the order of teams playing in the Group stages.  That may effect your transfer decisions

In retrospect you can transfer a player for a game after the first 1 in a match day as long as the player out’s team hasn’t played on the matchday and the player in’s team hasn’t played on the match day.  Here’s the rules which I think I interpreted incorrectly at first.    The Sun Live chat have verified it as did some other managers who have used it so it seems safe

An eligible transfer will take immediate effect and will occur if you transfer a Player out for another Player where neither the outgoing Player’s Country nor the incoming Player’s Country have played during that Match Day.

Transfers

No transfers today.  I’ll make my mind up about my remaining 8 transfers after today

If I change my mind I  will at least tweet any transfers probably around 2pm or  6pm UK time

Here’s the team as of today with yesterdays points.

 Fantasy World Cup tips

Telegraph fantasy football

The standard team:  Total points 231 Overall Rank 11.6k  transfers used 25 out of 26 in Group stage

The Def Block team:  Total points 234 Overall Rank 10.6k  transfers used 26 out of 26 in Group stage

As I said above,  here’s a link to my timeline article so you can see the order of teams playing in the Group stages.  That may effect your transfer decisions

In the telegraph you definitely can make transfers between matches.

the standard team

I think if I had made random transfers yesterday it would have gone better.  The German game was a total disaster.  I thought at the very worst I would get a clean sheet. The Brazil game went better at least

Today I will make the last transfer.  At the moment I think I will put it on Lewandoski or maybe Kahzri v Panama

Here’s the team as it stands with yesterdays points attached.   I will at least tweet that transfer probably around 2pm UK time and/or 6pm depending on the transfer

the defensive block team

No transfers left for today and just Kane to play.

Here’s the team as it stands with yesterdays points against it.

Probable lineups

Here’s graphics from the excellent site whoscored.com to show what they think are the probable lineups and the whoscored player ratings.  Things can be a bit unpredictable.  I think if no injury news then everyone is fit.
