Introduction

Friday 5th August is finally here, and it is time to reveal the final Transfer Planner team ahead of the GW1 deadline. For those unaware, this is a team that is created using only the projections seen in the FFGeek Transfer Planner which is designed and developed by myself. For GW1, I simply use the planner to build a squad which is projected to score the most points over the opening gameweeks. In each future week, the squad will be assessed against potential transfers to decide whether there are any moves that are considered profitable in the projections model. In line with recent seasons, we will be posting this team exclusively on Patreon and the FFGeek Patrons will receive an article each week which shows our plans for the forthcoming gameweek.

Before showing the team, I would just like to touch on a few key principles that this team tends to follow:

– Ownership plays absolutely no factor in our decision making and neither does formation. It is purely about maximising the projected points of the squad.

– Covering the best potential captain each gameweek is very important.

– Very little money will be spent on the bench.

– When our FPL chips are played will also be based on the projections, but will generally align with the popular strategies i.e. they will be saved for double/blank gameweeks.

– The projections are based on historic long-term data so transfers will almost never be reactionary. Sustained performance over a few weeks would need to be seen before we transfer in any player.

With those covered here’s the team:

You can see the rest of the article including The Transfer Planner’s FPL team with live notified transfers and the final lineup each gameweek plus loads more content as outlined above using the link below. It’s only £2.50 per calendar month with no commitment beyond 1 calendar month plus all the features above. There’s also a 16% discounted annual subscription. Unfortunately advertising alone cannot make the site viable and subscriptions are vital to the site continuing.
