Here’s a format I’ve been doing for a few years which is very similar to FPL. It’s an Australian based game and I used it for the World Cup. I wont give it that much coverage but will have a team and a league.

The values of players are virtually identical to FPL and the way of playing is very similar. Here are the differences:
2 transfers per week, only 2 players from each EPL team, no reserve GK, 1 wildcard only, no bonus points. points for recoveries blocks and interceptions have been introduced
Here’s a comparison to FPL using the eseential elements:
Premier league games only
cut off usually the same time as the Barclays fantasy premier league format but represented in Australian time
2 free transfers per gameweek
Double points captain
1 wildcard
Substitutes as per FPL
Player values change
vice captain
3-4-3 is allowed.
Only 2 players from anyone team
Scoring pretty much the same as FPL except recoveries, blocks and interceptions have been introduced
Save points for GKs
clean sheet point for midfielders
no bonus points
Clean sheet rule is 60 minutes on the pitch to be eligible.
Here’s my team. At the moment it’s pretty much the same as my FPL team but I’ll adjust it before GW1. I haven’t looked at the implications for the recoveries, interceptions and blocks yet:
