Midfielders and Forwards

The article consists of 2 schedules ranking midfielders and forwards based on their underlying stats over the last 10 gameweeks. xG and xA per game are converted to FPL attacking points. Stats are from the excellent free site Understat. Players injured or suspended or with significant gametime risk are * in the schedule.

Player values and stats were as of Monday 11 March

There’s also their FPL points per match as well as their value for money rating. The higher the better. 15 is the gold standard.  Designated Captains like Salah and Haaland can be less as they will often be double points.

The rankings are purely mathematical and there is no adjustment for fixtures coming up or the amount of potential additional games or blanks. The minute calculations are based on average minutes played in the last 10 gameweeks.

Players who are injured or have significant gametime risk aren’t in the schedules

How to use the schedules

The best way to use the schedules is to input your team into Joe’s FPL Transfer Planner and Points Projection Tool and input the players in place of low performing players to see which maximises your points total. You can also do this with future transfers.
