ATTACKING PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

I’ve chosen 4 teams to give player suggestions on and some basic stats. Burnley, Spurs, Man Utd and Leicester

BURNLEY

The only side with a DGW34 and a game in 35. A good team for FPL managers without a free hit.

2 potential players for me. Forwards Barnes and Wood.

£5.4m fwd Barnes has 4 goals in his last 5 games and is a good shout for 90 minutes each game. He’s scored 7 goals this season in 18 starts.  However, his points per 90 mins  is a poor  3.8 with only 6 bonus points.

£6.3m fwd Wood  has a much better PP90 at 5.7 with 8 goals and 1 assist from a mere 13 starts and 6 sub appearances

 34 Leicester (H)
34 Chelsea (H)
35 Stoke (A)
36 Brighton (H)
37 Arsenal (A)
38 Bournemouth (H)

LEICESTER

Leicester have doubles in 34 and 37 and no FA Cup distractions

Mahrez and Vardy are the obvious picks here.

£8.9m Mid Mahrez ia a player who normally plays 90 minutes or close to and has set piece responsibility. He’s got 10 goals and 11 assists having started 28 games plus 2 as sub .  He has a great ability to pick up bonus points with 18 so far.  That has helped him get good PP90 of 6.2.

£8.9m fwd Vardy has  scored 16 goals and 2 assists for a PP90 of 4.8 from 31 starts including 22 bonus points.  He also generally plays 90 minutes and has the big advantage of penalties.

 34 Burnley (A)
34 Southampton (H)
35 None
36 Crystal Palace (A)
37 West Ham (H)
37 Arsenal (H)
38 Spurs (A)

 Man Utd

Man Utd have an FA Cup semi on the weekend after their 2nd DGW34 game

4 potential attacking players here.  Lukaku, Sanchez, Lingard and Pogba

£11.6m forward Lukaku has started 30 games plus 1 as sub for 15 goals and 7 assists at a PP90 of 5.1 including 17 bonus (7 in the last 5 games)

£11.5m Mid Sanchez has started 8 games for Man Utd for 2 goals and 4 assists with a goal and 3 assists in his last 2 matches.  His PP90 is 5.5 and it’s 24 points including 5 bonus in his last 2 games

£6.0m Mid  Lingard is the cheaper option without the security of starts or the likely prospect of 90 minutes.  He’s started 17 games plus 11 as sub for 8 goals and 5 assists with a PP90 of 6.7.

The hope is that £7.8m Pogba kick starts his season again with his 2 goals v Man City after 1 assist in his last 6 prior to that.  He’s started 20 games plus 1 as sub for 5 goals and 1 assist and a respectable PP90 of 6.1.

 34 West Brom (H)
34 Bournemouth (A)
35 None
36 Arsenal (H)
37 Brighton (A)
37 West Ham (A)
38 Watford (H)

Spurs

£12.9m Fwd Kane has scored 24 goals plus 2 assists for a PP90 of 6.4 from 28 starts plus 3 sub appearances.  He also has pen duties

£9.0m Mid Alli started 30 games plus 1 as sub for 8 goals and 13 assists for a PP90 of 5.5.

£9.4m Set piece Mid Eriksen has started 31 games plus 1 as sub for 10 goals plus 9 assists for a PP90 of 5.9

£8.4m attacking Mid Son HM has started 24 games plus 7 as a sub and has 12 goals and 6 assist at a highly impressive PP90 of 7.3.  That is a little misleading as he is far less likely to play 90 mins than his team mates above and has more starting competition from Lamela and Moura to a lesser extent.

34 Man City (H)
34 Brighton (A)
35 None
36 Watford (H)
37 West Brom (A)
37 Newcastle (H)
38 Leicester (H)
