Possible transfer targets for DGW24
Man City in GW24 play Spurs (H) and Everton (A)
Man City are capable of clean sheets against anyone. £6.1m Dias is probably the safest bet gametime wise but £6.0m Cancelo is the better attacking option but more rotatable. £5.2m Stones is the cheapest player but the re emergence of Laporte poses some gametime risk. He has started 9 of the last 10 games though.
Everton in GW24 play Fulham (H) and Man City (H)
If you are going to go for an Everton defender I would splash out for £6.1m Digne. He is the best attacking option and a 12 pointer waiting to happen. The 2nd fixture against Man City is the negative although anytime you’re playing Fulham it’s a positive from a defensive point of view.
If you’re looking for value I would go for £5.1m Keane and hope his sub appearance in GW22 was an aberration.
Burnley in GW24 C Palace (A) and Fulham (H)
A great set of DGW fixtures. £5.5m GK Pope would probably be my priority for clean sheet potential and save points.
If you’re going for premium I would go for £5.3m Tarkoswki rather than £5.0m Mee due to the underlying stats showing him having more attacking potential. £4.5m Lowton is the cheap option
Fulham in GW24 play Everton (A) and Burnley (A)
A couple of fixtures where at least Burnley offers clean sheet potential. Either £4.5m GK Areola or £4.5m Defender Adaribioyo
A fixture ease schedule for defenders and GKs
Here’s a graphic where the teams are ranked by the ease of the attacking teams they face over the next 2 gameweeks before the proposed DGW26. See our Fixture Ease article
The clean sheet schedule
My schedule tries to focus on the stats that will lead to clean sheets rather than clean sheets themselves but I thought it would be worth while getting the clean sheet schedule from the premier league site
Goalkeeper save %
Here’s another schedule which shows you a goalkeeper save %. It’s not a ranking in itself as you can see there is some correlation between % and clean sheets but does give you some idea of GKs who are good shot stoppers. It’s from the free stats site fbref.com
