Introduction
It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.

GW24 review
An ok gameweek with the smallest of green arrows. That makes 2 green arrows now to halt my horrendous run of 5 consecutive reds from 153k Overall Rank
Both my transfers in for GW24 of Mbeumo and Chalobah blanked but the 2 outgoings of Szbos and O’Reilly only managed an assist between them so not the end of the world. I did keep my run of hits going so it did cost me 4 points as well. However both have good fixtures going forward so I’m hopeful for pay back
I got the captain right in Bruno Fernandes instead of Haaland. Returns came from 6 players so a small green arrow in that context is actually quite disappointing. Bruno, Enzo, Haaland, Gabriel, Raya were the 5 returners. However the green arrow really was the result of Mukiele’s clean sheet and assist in the Monday night game v the hapless Burnley. No bonus or Def Con but you can’t have everything
GW25 team
I have to deal with the injury to Saka who looks like he could be out for a bit. I’ve already got Gabriel and Raya so doubled up in defence. I only have the 1 free transfer so it makes sense to downgrade to Rice rather than follow a few of my fellow Contributors who’ve gone for the Arsenal defensive triple up.
I will then by handily placed for Arsenal’s double gameweek 26 as I will have 3 players
Captain is simple with Bruno Fernandes by far having the easier fixture over Haaland. The bench also picks itself making life easier

Well, I lost the captain battle that time sticking with Haaland over Bruno Fernandes. Also sticking with Van Dijk instead of moving to Timber cost me a point, but a brace from Ekitike helped secure a green arrow and a rank increase to 100k anyway.
The difference between Bruno or Haaland captain was five points in the end, which feels fairly insignificant considering the perceived weight of the decision. There are more decisions to come though, and it feels likely they’ll have a far greater affect on rank…
