The schedule

The schedule uses 20/21 stats only.

The teams are ranked by defensive strength over the season only

You can access the google spreadsheet here

Player values and stats were as of Tuesday 5 May. I’ve ignored the Man Utd v Liverpool postponement in the DGW column as I explain further down

Double gameweek 35 and blank GW36

Fixtures update and Early FFGeek team thoughts article I talked about the possibility of Man Utd v Liverpool being moved into GW36 and Liverpool v WBA moved to GW35. There is speculation that the Liverpool game could stay in GW36 which would significantly change the landscape

So for the moment and in the schedule above I’ve ignored it

Possible transfer targets for GW35

Man Utd

There’s only Luke Shaw for me here. His underlying attacking stats are excellent and he has twice the bonus points of any other Man Utd defender.

Man Utd should have a fixture in GW36 and a double in GW35 despite even though anything has yet to be confirmed.

Leicester

I think you should try and get to Castagne here for me but Fofana at £5.0m is the cheaper option. £4.1m LB Thomas has started the last 3 but you have to think Pereira will come in at RB with Thomas displaced by Castagne.

Everton

Only Digne for me as his attacking ability mitigates the frailty of the defence. They do have a double in GW35 and a fixture in GW36

Aston Villa

If you have Martinez I would sit with him but the defence isn’t great for my mind and I’m not sure anyone else has the attacking ability to offset the defence. The fixtures definitely don’t help. They do have a double in GW35 and a fixture in GW36

C Palace

A terrible defence but good DGW35 fixtures and a cheap option in RB Ward. There’s also £3.8m Mitchell who started against City but that was his 1st game in 8. Was he starting as it looks possible Van Aanholt will leave Palace at the end of the season when his contract runs out or was it for a more defensive mindset that Mitchell possesses. He’s a big gamble but if you’re having him as a 3rd bench spot and relaxed about that he could save you some cash

Fixture Ease Schedule

Here’s a schedule where the teams are ranked by the easiness of the attacking teams they face over the gameweeks to the end of the season.

The Fixture ease schedule is on the basis that Man Utd v Liverpool goes to GW36 and Liverpool v WBA in GW35 which may not be how things pan out if Liverpool v WBA stays in GW36

The Clean Sheet schedule

My schedule tries to focus on the stats that will lead to clean sheets rather than clean sheets themselves but I thought it would be worth while getting the clean sheet schedule from the premier league site

Goalkeeper save %

Here’s another schedule which shows you a goalkeeper save %. It’s not a ranking in itself as you can see there is some correlation between % and clean sheets but does give you some idea of GKs who are good shot stoppers. It’s from the free stats site fbref.com
