FPL Gameweek 38 Team Reveal – 4 FFGeek Contributors teams for GW38 Part 3
Introduction
It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.
However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Vote team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Pete, Javier and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £3 PCM.
The 20 top FPL managers average refers to the 20 top FPL managers who finished in the top 10k Overall Rank the last 3 seasons. See my article analysing their teams
Ori Gal
Ori’s last 7 seasons are 71k, 91k, 82k, An incredible 243rd, 6k and 4k
GW37 points: 73 (20 Top managers average 57 ) Total points: 2,288, Overall Rank: 61k, green arrow 19k: Team Value: £106.7m
Ori has used his TC, FH and WC
Strong gameweek with 73 points and four green arrows in a row, taking me up to 61k, my highest rank of the season so far. I made the non template decision of Wildcarding in GW35 instead of gameweek 32 like many FPL managers. It’s paid off and I’ve halved my rank in 3 gameweeks from 113k to 61k
But somehow it was also another week where I lost the classic 50/50 call. It came down to Calvert-Lewin or Kadioglu. With 30 seconds left in the Brighton–Leeds game, starting Kadioglu looked like the perfect decision… and then Calvert-Lewin scored.
Most of my 50/50 decisions this year went the wrong way and I find myself with more than 400 points on my bench to date!!!.
So here we are: final gameweek of a season that, if I’m honest, I haven’t enjoyed as much as previous years.
I’ve got 3 transfers and the current plan is:
Porro, Szoboszlai and Antony IN
Lacroix, Sarr and Rogers OUT
The starting XI — and especially the bench — will depend on leaks. If nothing comes out before deadline, I’ll probably bench Saka, O’Reilly and Kadioglu.
Captaincy is currently between Haaland and Bowen, with Haaland just edging it.
Summary
Transfers: Porro, Szoboszlai & Antony IN / Lacroix, Sarr & Rogers OUT
Captain: Haaland or Bowen
Good luck everyone for the final gameweek
Here’s the team shown in transfer tab view assuming the above transfers take place

Javier Navarro
Javier’s last 6 seasons Overall Ranks are 34k, 32k, 55k, 30k, 44k and 24k
GW37 points: 65 (20 Top managers average 57 ) Total points: 2,324, Overall Rank: 19k, green arrow 1k : Team Value: £105.0m
Javier has used his TC, WC, BB and FH
GW38: The Final Whistle 🏁
Right, here we are. Final GW of the season. Whatever this weekend brings, that’s the line. No more transfers to plan for, no chips to save, no GW39 to bail us out. Just one last roll of the dice.
1. GW37 Review 📊
Last week was a chip-heavy GW for a lot of managers, and the leaderboards reflect that. If you fired your TC or BB last week, you’ll be feeling pretty good right now. If you didn’t, the gap to those who did is just going to have to be made up the old-fashioned way — finding the calls that other managers didn’t make.
The wider FPL picture going into GW38 is dominated by one thing: motivation. Some sides have everything to play for. Others have already mentally booked their summer holidays. And the title race is now done with Arsenal lifting the trophy
2. Transfers……..

Clay Van Doren
Clay’s last 11 seasons Overall ranks are 129k, 970th, 36k, 29k, 219k, 97k, 43k, 37k, 1k, 83k and 10k
GW37 points: 61 (20 Top managers average 57) Total points: 2,242, Overall Rank: 194k, red arrow 9k: Team Value: £103.1m
Clay has used his WC, BB, FH and TC
GW 37 results: Bruno Almost
Last real chance to make my move so captained differential BrunoF but missed out a big haul despite his goal hanging with 4+ near misses primarily from Mbuemo.
Brought in Gyokeres and his 1 pointer. Expected him to miss GW38 not GW37.
Landed on 61 points. Gameweek rank of 5M was materially worse than my weekly 1M target but level with the average Elite result. My cumulative OR is 195K (5% deterioration week on week / 10K deterioration in places).
With 4% of the season, I am focused on my mini league.
