Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.

However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Tracker team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Kris, Kev and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £3 PCM.

The reference to 19 top managers is from the article where I follow 19 top FPL managers who have finished in the top 10k overall rank the last 3 seasons.

Hi all, a small green arrow on Bench Boost is not what I was hoping for but the front seven are so highly owned that the Overall Rank variation is driven by the back four, and I did not own Gvardiol or Van de Ven.

I managed to break the top 50k with a strong end of season and will give it a push to finish in the top 30k. Some differentials needed hence likely to bring in Havertz (instead of Saka) and Olise for Gordon and Bruno Fernandes.

Likely to start Jackson over Isak and Pedro over Cucurella, even thought double Spurs at the back (with Ederson injured) was not my preference.

Good luck all, enjoy the summer and see you next year!

transfer summary: Likely Havertz and Olise IN for Gordon and Bruno Fernandes OUT

GW37 review – a simple outcome

I have almost had a good gameweek except for one straightforward reason – I don’t own Josko Gvardiol. As he made it four goals and two assists across his last five Premier League games, I was left contemplating how choosing Ederson as my Man City defensive coverage had gone so wrong.

Considering the young Croation had failed to produce a single attacking return before this run of form, the primary thinking has to be that this was a brutal run of negative variance. Nonetheless, his haul has prevented me from returning to the top 10k and has cost me dear in mini league or two.

Ironically, the bench boost itself has gone reasonably well with the Arsenal clean sheet and Dalot managing to avoid negative points. Brennan Johnson racked up an xG of 1.1 along with an xA of 0.6 so I am feeling very hard done by to only have seven points from him. Especially considering he is comfortably my biggest differential after I ended up holding him due to my planned transfer of Richarlison picking up a training injury.

GW38 thoughts – two transfers and plenty of cash to have some fun

I imagine that there will be other FPL managers who are envious of my position ahead of the final gameweek where I have 3.6mil in the bank and two transfers available. With a few days to go until deadline though, I am already fearing decision paralysis as there are going to be so many options available to me and I will speak through some of these here.

Before I do though, let’s quickly chat on the state of my team. I have eight strong attackers which would likely leave me benching Gordon if I were to make no transfers for some reason. This includes two attackers from each of Man City, Chelsea and Spurs who all have a good fixture and I would happily keep & start all of these. The defence is set as I have two Arsenal defenders plus Pedro Porro although Ederson is out. With that in mind, here are some players that are on my mind:
