Introduction
It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team, the Planner team and the Contributor tracker team as well as 6 Contributors on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live and show their final lineups. So you’re always up to date. See above
Alex Ball
Alex’s last 8 seasons overall ranks were 27k, 3k, 312k, 523k, 17k, 10k, 28k and 3k
The season is almost upon us, pens will soon be put down and we can relax and watch some footie! On to my team not too many changes but one major one that has changed structured- Diaz has gone for Robbo and this has led to a ‘big at the back’ team. I miss having Nico Williams at 4.0, he’s a gift and I’m sure he will be in on my wildcard.
Defence
The back 5 are all very attacking and with FPL’s kind pricing it seems worth going for to start with. I have worries about Perisic’s gametime but I’m going to risk it for the potential attacking output.
Midfield
Salah. Not. Going. Anywhere. He’ll be my captain this week as well. Next are the budget options of Martinelli, Neto, Bailey and Andreas. Andreas will be second bench most weeks. Benching Neto is not ideal but I have a gut feel about Bailey with his kind fixture so Neto will be a nice first sub.
Forward
75% owned Jesus is going nowhere. He was in draft 1 and he will remain now. Halland v Kane is a tight call but I want Halland for his Bournemouth match in GW2 and I dont want to book a transfer in so I’ll start with him. Archer is a 4.5 striker who has performed well in preseason and may get the odd few minutes and even a goal!
Good luck everyone, heres to a great season.

Andrew Whitfield
Andrew’s last 5 seasons overall ranks were 119k, 34k, 132k, 6k and 19k

Well here we are again. Let the fun and drama begin and fasten your seatbelts for another season of twists and turns.
My team is now settled, subject to any late surprises in the press conferences, after which I will be locking it in 🔒
I have been contemplating four key decisions for a couple of weeks now but the Community shield and final friendlies have gone a long way to shaping those big calls.
The fab six:
These players have been rock solid and not left my team in any drafts.
Trent ✅ Cancelo ✅ James ✅ Salah ✅ Martinelli ✅ Jesus ✅
My key decision:
It’s Haaland over Kane. I do prefer the first game for Harry but I much prefer the second game for Haaland and I don’t want to be without him v Bournemouth in GW2. I don’t want to book in a pre arranged transfer when other fires will break out, and price changes could trigger doing the switch a week before the GW2 deadline. I also want to roll in GW2 for two frees in GW3 when I can buy anyone and catch the breakout stars. I am braced for some Kane pain this week but you can’t have em all.
You can see the rest of Andrew’s article on the Wide Forward Tier of FFGeek Patreon site with loads of other content mentioned above for just £3 PCM. That includes following Andrew’s Team and 5 others with live notified transfers and it’s final lineup each gameweek.
Avishek Majumdar
Avishek’s last 5 seasons ORs were 62k, 32k, 13k, 45k and 64k
3 changes from my last draft
£4.0m GK Ward in for £4.0m Forster – Ward likelyto be Leicester’s starting GK so makes sense
£5.5m Def Perisic in for £4.0m N Williams although I’m wobbling on this and could change
£5.0m Mid Bailey in for £6.5m Rashford – to fund Perisic although looking at the above I could reverse it
£11.5m Fwd Haaland in for £11.5m Kane – Mainly for the GW2 Bournemouth fixture
Here’s the team as it stands
