David N

David’s last 7 seasons are 65k, 17k, 10k, 598th, 267th, 470k and 809th

GW12 points: 67  (19 Top managers average 77) Total points: 721 Overall Rank: 1,017k, red arrow: 162k   Team Value: £104.0m

David used his Wildcard in GW8

Hi all,

I unfortunately had to be reminded today how horrible my GW12 was. Not having Haaland means I have Trippier and played him over Tsimikas, which made me lose about 30 points relative to the team I would have likely had if I had kept Haaland. But I am still a net positive since the WC.

This week is looking grim with fixtures and injuries. I have four FTs to get Haaland back in GW16 a few flags, and two players I view as quasi useless on my bench, namely Tsimikas away to ManC and Lamptey. So will wait on new on Bowen and cash, and potentially on Alvarez and Darwin who again had a long trip before an early kick-off.

I see no value whatsoever in defence, so if I use my FT there it is simply to get another “playing player”. If Bowen is out for a while, since I bought Mbeumo last week already, I would consider Eze or Palmer. The only forwards I would look at if one of my three was injured are Archer to save funds or Solanke.

I was going to take a punt and captain Bowen, but I am now “forced” to have it on Son, which I am not overly excited about given the little support he now has up front due to injuries. VC most likely on Saka.

Good luck all!

Transfer summary:  To be determined

Here’s the team prior to any transfers being made

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 7 seasons ORs were 12k, 38k, 1k, 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW12 points: 81 -4 (19 Top managers average 77) Total points: 711 Overall Rank: 1,406k, green arrow: 336k   Team Value: £101.8m

Rick used his wildcard in GW8

A 330k increase was a welcome sight going into the break – especially as I took a hit. That’s five consecutive green arrows since I hit the Wildcard button in GW8, which isn’t bad going at all (though I’ll admit that the GW11 green was tiny). Saliba and Palmer were real difference makers with a few welcome points from Watkins and Saka also contributing. The biggest hauls were from Haaland and Salah, of course, where owning both was what mattered, rather than which was captained.

I’m still 10 points away from the 1m mark, but considering where I was a few weeks back, that’s pretty decent. I just need the kind run to continue.

The Hit

Unfortunately, it wasn’t all giggles and rainbows. My decision to take a hit to bring in Livramento backfired with him starting on the bench and then coming on for the second half to score zero. A textbook self-own that cost me five points, but I’m not too down about it.

I was happy to take the hit to cover some of Trippier’s points, as he’s by far my biggest threat with an EO of 58%. Livramento may not have started but there was no clean sheet anyway, the alternative pick of Lascelles also scored zero and – ultimately – Trippier’s points didn’t damage my rank, which is all I was really worried about and why I spent the points to begin with. It’s more of a future issue now, as I won’t always get that lucky.

As it goes, Hall can’t play against Chelsea, so there’s a better chance we’ll see Livramento start in GW14. He looked good for the 45mins he played, so hopefully he impresses and secures his spot. I’ve got one eye on the GW18 blank, so I really don’t want too many doubtful starters. I need to be a bit more careful about who I bring in now…

Ori Gal

Ori’s last 4 seasons overall ranks are 82k, An incredible 243rd, 6k and 4k

GW12 points: 82 (19 Top managers average 77) Total points: 753 Overall Rank: 254k, green arrow: 127k   Team Value: £103.8m

Ori used his Wildcard in GW8

A good week with 82 points and my 4th green arrow from the last 5 gameweeks.

I was fortunate to transfer Saliba in for his 9 points. Haaland, Salah, Diaby and Alisson were my other returns. Since I brought him on my WC, Alison delivered 8,7,6 and 7 points for me, and while I suspect he won’t return any points this week vs City, I am very happy to have him.

I got my 50/50 this week wrong as I benched Cunha for Coufal. A 5 points “miss”.

Moving forward, I have 2 ft and 0.7m in the bank.

Overall, I am OK with my team and will start with few differentials such as Martinelli and Cunha.

With the free transfer, I will more than likely move…..
