Dave F

Dave F last 3 overall ranks are 26k, 20k and 12k

GW22 points: 59 (19 Top managers average 58) Total points: 1,282 Overall Rank: 363k, green arrow: 15k   Team Value: £104.0m

Absolute average result the past week with 59 pts, but we’ll take it. Decision wise hindsight team obviously has Alvarez at captain but in general I have a tendency to lean mid over forward if the decision is a close one as it was with Foden v Alvarez there.

Looking ahead to this week, really don’t like the look of a defence that effectively has to start two defenders v Liverpool even if it’s arsenal. Question is do I want to use an ft for some Newcastle cover in place of Burn/Guehi or roll to next week to retain some flexibility as we get more news on the forward schedule. Have plenty in the bank at the moment so that’s not really a constraint. Will likely leave this to the deadline to decide but it’s the choice I’ve outlined above – roll or bolster the defense. Only other choice is if I should be putting gross in over any of the current starting attackers but lean toward no at the moment.

Sounds like Haaland ready to start again, so it makes captaincy pretty ho hum again too. No reason to go against the grain there, opting for foden vice in case any surprise but it’s not like his minutes super secure either in a world where City is absolute full strength.

Transfer summary:  to be determined

Ori Gal

Ori’s last 4 seasons overall ranks are 82k, An incredible 243rd, 6k and 4k

GW22 points: 49 (19 Top managers average 58) Total points: 1,282 Overall Rank: 363k,  red arrow: 81k   Team Value: £105.1m

Bournemouth is my team, and I was overall happy with the result. Bowen was my captain, and I am very unhappy with his 1 point.
Choosing the right captain is a big problem for me this year. Since game week 9, my captains delivered 67 points. At the same time, my VCs delivered 112 points! A 45 points difference. If I switched my captain with the VC from GW9, my rank would have been around 75k compared with my 370k. A 300k difference!
In addition, my transfer decisions lately were disastrous. Estupinan this week for 0 points. Saka and Bowen the week before (and Saka captain last week instead of Palmer). Collwil and Pau prior to it.
It seems like for the last 10+ games, almost all my decisions backfired.
I am obviously very disappointed with my performance and I am not happy with my team.
I would love to WC now, but there is so much unknown with doubles, blanks in GW29, Salah status, Son return date, etc, that it just doesn’t make sense to do it now.
I have many players that I want to change, some of them I just bought in: Bowen, Diaby, Coufal, Collwil, to name a few.
With my team in such a bad place, I will more than likely take a hit or two.
The pressers on Friday will be critical:
– If Collwil is fit, I will start him Vs Wolves. If he is injured, I will get a Newcastle defender (Burn likely, or Trippier if I decide to go ‘all in’) for Colwill/Coufal
– I prefer to wait a week on Haaland, but if Pep suggests he starts, I may bring him in this week and captain him.
– If we get a Liverpool double in GW25, I will bring Jota in for Bowen/Diaby. If no DGW25, I will bring in Gordon Or Eze/Olise.I am writing this article on my way back from West Ham Vs Bournemouth.

– If for some reason Bournemouth Vs Luton is a DGW 25, I will bring Solanke in.

My transfer decision will be made after the press conferences, and I will more than likely take a hit or two in order to ‘fix’ my team.

With regards to captain,  based on my last 12 games performance, it is very likely that whoever I choose will be the wrong choice … If I bring Haaland in, I may captain him. Or Trippier.

Captain/VC and transfers TBD based on the press conferences

Here is my team, prior to any transfers.

I nailed the captain (Saka) but still had a bad week 311k red is devestating at this part of the season. Took Nkunku out for his goal for Haalands one pointer unfortunately as well. Thats the way I play though I follow my gut that has got me numerous top 0.5% finishes and last season 12k OR but this season it hasnt played out to be beneficial! I will continue this way though as I love the thrill and enjoy the game this way.

I have been struck by injuries and suspensions all season that hasn’t really allowed me to make transfers I plan to unfortunately. Now we are hearing Darwin is an issue as well. I really fancied goals in the Arsenal Liverpool game and will still play him regardless of risk as I like the 24 and 25 fixtures. He will leave the team gw26 for Toney though.
