Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.

However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Tracker team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Kris, Kev and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £3 PCM.

Ori Gal

Ori’s last 4 seasons overall ranks are 82k, An incredible 243rd, 6k and 4k

A very good week with a score of 87 and a rank improvement from 363k to 237k.

After a very long time with bad captain decisions, I captained Watkins for his 18 points haul. This, together with Foden (20 points), Saka (9) and Palmer (8), contributed to a very good week.

It could have been great. I sold Cunha (who served me very well for 12 weeks so no complaints) for Haaland. This cost me 12 points, but I still believe it was the right decision.

With the upcoming DGW25, BGW26, DGW28, BGW29, there are a lot to take into consideration moving forward.

Also the uncertainty of Sarah’s situation is a problem.

Here are some decisions I did make:

– I am not going to bring Salah before GW30.

– I am attacking GW25 with the 3 City players I already have (Haaland, Alvarez, Foden). Not perfect without De Bruyne (“KDB”) (and going to a DGW with no KDB and no Salah can be a season defining moment…)

– I am happy to take some hits.

With this in mind, I plan to take out Diaby and Colwill (injured, blank in 26 and more than likely 29) and will bring in a Luton player and a Liverpool player. Both Liverpool and Luton have a very good fixture this week before their double so I am happy to take a -4 (I only have one FT) for it.

I am considering Virgil Van Dijk and Barkley OR Jota and Doughty.

The sensible decision is to go Jota and Doughty (especially as I already have Alisson), but for some reason my gut tells me to go Virgil and Barkley (I also have a slight concern with Jota’s minutes in the DGW, few days prior to the EFL cup final).

I think I will go with my head here and do Jota and Doughty.

Captain is currently on Haaland Vs Everton at home VC – Saka

Transfer Summary:  (likely) – Jota and Doughty IN, Diaby and Colwill OUT

Here is my team prior to transfers. Estupinan will probably drop to the bench with Doughty/Virgil in the lineup, Bowen will drop to the bench with Jota/Barkley in the lineup.

Hi all,

What looked like a great GW 23 ended up being a good week only after Foden’s hat trick. The nature of the beast as we cannot own them all. I now have 1.1M ITB and 1FT, with way more options going forward (transfers and chips) than usual, which will make the rest of the year that much more interesting.

I would love to bring in both Jota and Foden this week but cannot afford both without selling a player I do not want to sell or taking a -8, which I will not do this week. I have a few issues in defence but see little value there so will definitely not prioritise a transfer there, even if the likes of Alisson are interesting as fixtures are good and it does not create an incremental problem for me in BGW26, where I currently have four players blanking. As Liverpool have Burnley at home and Man C have Everton at home, I will prioritise Jota so will have 2 Liverpool and 2 Man C players for GW24 and will probably look to add at least one more next week.

I am not too focused on maximising doublers for the sake of it, especially for hits if it means that I will then field one less player in GW26. For example, Luton have a great fixture this week, but a difficult double followed by a blank, hence not in a rush to bring in some of their assets vs. the likes of Foden, Toney, etc. They could be interesting after GW26.

Saka and Watkins are two players which could easily be sacrificed to bring in more ManC / Liverpool players, but I like both (and already own both Haaland and Darwin) and they are likely to both play GW29. So Bowen is the most expandable player for me up front, as well as Palmer (likely blank both GW26 and GW29) but the latter does not help me much budget wise given his price, and I am happy to keep him this week (Palace away, whose form is nothing to brag about).

I will wait until the deadline in case other useful news / leaks until then, but likely to sell Bowen for Jota, and will probably take a hit or two next week to bring in Foden for Palmer (for which will need to release funds somewhere). Colwill will also have to go before GW26. Porro (likely to play GW29), Estupinan and Trippier all questionable value-for-money but not priorities. I have never had issues taken hits to bring in a player which has an extra fixture, but if that hit requires another hit to field 11 players the following week, the bar is that much higher!

Regarding chips, TC will be on Haaland GW25 if I am comfortable enough that he starts both, otherwise on Solanke GW28. I will try to avoid FH GW29 but let’s see which incremental fixtures are added by then and what incremental fires I may need to deal with by then to see if that is realistic. WC likely GW30-33, with BB (and potentially FH) GW34/37.

Good luck all.

Transfer summary:  Likely Bowen OUT for Jota IN

Bit of a rollercoaster last week as ditching Watkins finally ends up costing me, however most of the week then redeemed by Fodens hat trick at weeks end. Expect more volatility as we see the blanks and doubles ahead and figuring out how to navigate that.

For me, think I’ve come to the conclusion …….
