69 points and a green arrow of around 300 places.
I had returns from 7 players, the most in a long time. Arsenal and Sunderland with the clean sheet, Bruno Fernandes with 2 assists, 2 goals from Ekitike, an assist from captain Haaland and a late goal from Enzo. Enzo lost a point for a yellow card and a bonus point for taking his shirt off after the goal. Nice Tatts Enzo but I didn’t really want to spend 2 points to see them.
Outside of transfers I had choices to make in my starting 11 this week:
Captain Haaland or Bruno. I went with Haaland = -5 points
Start Thiago or Anderson. I started Thiago = – 5 points
Start O’Reilly or Andersen = +1 point
If I had got these calls right I would have been up around the 1k mark again but I am happy with my decisions. I think they were all perfectly reasonable calls.
I did sell Kevin Schade this week which turned out to be a good move with his red card and -2 points.
GW25
I think the plan for this week is to roll to 2 FT’s in GW26.
Now the double GW is sorted I don’t need to bring in any extra Chelsea or Everton players. I have 3 Arsenal players who I am happy with and I am not intending to bring in any Wolves players. I think a single GW player could outscore a Wolves asset.
My plan in GW26 was to sell Ekitike and then buy a midfielder or defender. After Ekitike’s performance at the weekend that move is less likely. I will see what happens this weekend. Liverpool’s fixtures also improve considerably over the next few weeks. Without selling Ekitike it is difficult to see where funds come from for any potential upgrades. The elephant in the room is Haaland. I just had a play on the FPL app and without Haaland you can just about afford anyone you want (you also need the transfers of course). I can’t see myself going there in the short term but it could be popular for those on WC32 if he continues to underperform. If I don’t sell Ekitike next week then I will probably look to sell O’Reilly or Hall for someone like Senesi, Hill or Cash.
I am still looking at Semenyo and Rogers as they are highly owned and hurt my rank when they return. I have to say I thought Semenyo would be a bit of a Grealish when he moved to City and that we were more likely to see him on the back of an open top bus than on the pitch. I am also looking at Sarr who seems to be on pens. Palace have a couple of amazing fixtures coming up but are likely to blank in GW31.
I have a decision to make about my starting 11 this week as well. Anderson, Thiago or Ekitike. I don’t think I can bench Ekitike after last weekend so at the moment Thiago is on the bench alongside Alderete and O’Reilly. I can see this being a late decision again. The heart says I should play Thiago but I have missed out on so many Anderson points over the last few weeks. Captain is Bruno Fernandes this week. I can’t see me making the last minute move to Haaland as I did this week.
Good luck everyone.
Transfer summary: Likely to carry over the free transfer
Here’s the team assuming no transfers are made

Alex Ball
Alex’s last 5 seasons overall ranks were 60k, 6k, 60k, 27k, 3k

A good gameweek wheich saw a good green arrow. That’s 2 on the bounce which has halved my rank since GW22.
Returns from my double Arsenal defence, Mukiele, Enzo and Ekitike. I did choose the wrong captain going for the EO safety of Haaland over Fernandes. However both returning did move me up overall rank wise so that’s something.
With the Arsenal double gameweek 26 now confirmed after the they went through in the EFL semi final last night I am quite keen on triple Arsenal defence but I just feel bringing Raya in is a limited upside move. If you have Raya already and it’s bringing Timber or Gabriel in, I think that makes more sense as I don’t see any point in selling Raya. For me however so that really only leaves Rice as a 3rd Arsenal option
So after that though my moves for this week are likely to be

GW 24 Key Moments: Bruno over Haaland
Bruno, JPedro, Cunha, Semenyo delivered again. For Bruno believe it’s 4 games on the bounce.
Twitter-manager Bruno F (10 points) outscored perma-captain Haaland (5 points).
Sunderland defence came through again at end of gameweek. Inside the Sunderland context, Mukiele (111 points) continues to materially outscore Alderete (85 points)
GW 24 results: Bit of a bounceback
69 points which was 2 points better than Elite average.
Before Sunderland shutout, I was looking 9 points up (punished again for lack of Sunderland).
Brought in Mbuemo and Enzo for Foden and Xhaka.
My Gameweek rank of 1.7M is ok. My cumulative OR is 255K (60K improvement week on week) with all 4 chips remaining. Now 75 points off 10K, 4 Point improvement vs last week).

Gameweek 24 Review
Gameweek 24 got underway at 3pm on Saturday afternoon and I had 4 players in action. Arsenal beat Leeds 4-0 and I should’ve had an Arsenal triple up in this game, however, Bukayo Saka pulled up in the warm up and later pulled out of the starting 11. This meant that I got Leeds’ Joe Rodon’s 2 points off the bench. Gabriel hit his defensive contributions target to walk away with 8 points, while Timber picked up a yellow card and finished on 5 points. Timber was unfortunate not to finish with more given he missed a big chance and created a big chance.
Bart Verbruggen was on for a clean sheet and bonus points until Brighton conceded a 97th minute equaliser against Everton. Verbruggen did make 3 saves in the match meaning he finished on 3 points.
The 5:30pm kick off saw West Ham host Chelsea, a game in which I had Enzo Fernández. The Chelsea midfielder was blanking until he scored a 92nd minute winner, propelling him up to 2 bonus for an 8 point return.
Newcastle travelled to Anfield for an 8pm kick off, and Liverpool once again failed to keep a clean sheet. Virgil van Dijk did manage to hit his defensive contributions target though for a 4 point return. Hugo Ekitiké was the star for my side scoring a quick fire brace and collecting maximum bonus for a 13 point haul. The striker really could’ve had more points, however, he missed 2 big chances in the match.
My captain, Bruno Fernandes, was in action at 2pm on Sunday as his Manchester United side hosted Fulham. The United midfielder got 2 assists and 2 bonus for a 10 point return, doubled to 20. It was a different story for Brentford’s Kevin Schade though who travelled to Villa Park to face Aston Villa. The midfielder received a straight red card for kicking out at Matty Cash, finishing on -2 points and now facing a 3 match ban. Prior to his sending off he did manage to miss a big chance.
Spurs hosted Manchester City in the evening game, a game that finished 2 all. Erling Haaland only managed to pick up an assist for a 5 point return.
The final match of the week took place on Monday night with Sunderland beating Burnley. This meant that there was a clean sheet for defender Alderete for a 6 point return.
72 points all out for my side. This was above the overall average of 54 and Live FPL’s Elite 1k average of 68 points. This was enough for a green arrow and a rise from 309k up to 226k.
