Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.

However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Tracker team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Kris, Kev and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £3 PCM.

The reference to 19 top managers is from the article where I follow 19 top FPL managers who have finished in the top 10k overall rank the last 3 seasons

Dave F

Dave F last 3 overall ranks are 26k, 20k and 12k

GW30 points: 63 (19 Top managers average 63) Total points: 1,803 Overall Rank: 166k, green arrow: 14k   Team Value: £104.3m

Dave used his Triple Captain Chip in GW25 and Free Hit in GW29

Quick turnaround from gw30 in 31 and a change in course from my side. Was originally planning to wildcard this week, but after reconsidering it looks like I can manage to get a decent double GW34 team out there without using it. Therefore the new plan is to dead end into 34 and WC35 with a bench boost in 37. Not reinventing the wheel or anything here as this is a common strategy of those that fh29 but it fits so we roll with it.

Managed to survive last week without salah but can’t really run that risk again this week. Therefore the current idea is to -4 and bring in Salah, Garnacho and Mateta for Saka, Gross, and Alvarez. Next week probably aim for another Liverpool asset, something like Diaz for Foden or a defender for Porro. Will also captain Salah straight away this week, with probably Haaland as vice.

transfer summary:  Salah, Garnacho and Mateta IN for Saka, Gross, and Alvarez OUT.

Here’s the team prior to any transfers taking place

FPL GW31 Tips

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 7 seasons ORs were 12k, 38k, 1k, 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW30 points: 61 -4 (19 Top managers average 63) Total points: 1,789 Overall Rank: 232k, red arrow: 13k   Team Value: £103.8

Rick used his Triple Captain Chip in GW25 and Free Hit in GW29

A shorter article for a shorter deadline.

GW30 went about as well as I thought it would. Maybe a little better. Not having Son was always going to leave a mark, and that mark took the form of a 13k drop.

Had I panicked and spent the extra 4 points to bring in Son I’d have missed out on both Palmer’s brace and Saliba’s clean sheet, which would have meant a disastrous week. So, considering the options I had, I’m okay with the red arrow.

Looking Forward

There are simpler times ahead, as my decision to not pull apart my team for Son means I have a clear path forward and can hopefully make up a bit of ground.

Essentially, I’ll now bring in players that double in GW34, so I can field ten doublers, then WC in DGW35 to make sure I’m all set for the remaining doubles and my Bench Boost.

Son will still be a threat for the next few weeks, but captaincy will be heavily reduced and he should gradually be removed by many before he blanks in GW34. I just have to hope Foden can match him.

Transfer

I’ve gone early and already used my FT….

Ori Gal

Ori’s last 4 seasons overall ranks are 82k, An incredible 243rd, 6k and 4k

GW30 points: 69 (19 Top managers average 63) Total points: 1,819 Overall Rank: 111k, green arrow 29k   Team Value: £105.3m

Ori has all his Chips in place

Overall a good week and a 29k green arrow. Could have been better if I didnt change my GK last minute from Martinez to Kelleher.

Moving forward, I still have all my Chips, and aRE going to try something a bit different. It may backfire but it will be fun.

TC Salah GW34 ( I will have 7 or so doublers plus players with good single game.)

WC 35/36

BB 37

FH38 (If Liverpool and Arsenal still have something to play for, this can be huge. If not, it will be a bit of a waste)

With that in mind, I…..
