33 points away from my objective of sub 100k Overall Rank. 2 weeks ago I was 3 points off
This is the issue when you have a very differential team caused by a Wildcard out of sync with the template teams.
GW37 review
In a gameweek where the template failed with only 3 of my 20 top managers getting a green arrow, my differential team with only 5 of those 15 players should have thrived. Unfortunately it didn’t. I trailed their average by 3 points and now my objective turns from getting within 100k OR to getting below 200k OR.
While Saliba, Bruno Fernandes (my captain and many didn’t) and Rice managed 31 points and 90k of overall Rank between them I needed so much more from other players who were needed to step up.
Thiago, Bowen, Wilson, Cherki, O’Reilly and Henderson were my differentials and didn’t provide a return between them. They amassed a pathetic 8 points between the 6 of them. Wilson and Cherki didn’t even start.
Add a massive 10 point before captain doubling against me from Saka who alone cost me 25k Overall Rank and it’s obvious why I ended up with a 22% red arrow.
GW38
2 free transfers and £0.4m In the Bank
With the title locked up who knows what could happen with mine and many Arsenal and Man City players. A positive view would be Arsenal have the UCL final a week after GW38 so no need for a wholesale resting of their players. Man City play Pep’s last game at home so it seems possible he plays a full strength team for a proper send off.
It’s impossible to have any certainty unless something comes from the press conferences……….
