Gameweek 3 review
Here’s the points
Using a chip you’d hope for a green arrow but it was pretty much staying at the same rank which could be worse I guess. Only returns from Triple Captain Haaland, 8 point Mbeumo and an assist from De Cuyper.
Despite that the 2 transfers couldn’t have gone much worse. Wissa had no shots and no key passes against Bournemouth and although De Cuyper got an assist Brighton looked all at sea (if you pardoned the pun) against what is a pretty limited attack that saw Calvert-Lewin running riot and somehow blanking.
I suddenly have 2 Brighton defenders if you include Verbrugggen. They do have Coventry away in GW4 and Sunderland away in GW6 but their away defensive form hasn’t been great and if this is sign of future defensive home form then these 2 are just very annoying passengers
Mbeumo saved the gameweek. I gambled on not going for Cherki or Foden and that other side of the transfer decision at least worked out
