FPL New Player Profiles

he last 2 seasons are a very impressive set of stats.  Anytime anyone is returning at under a goal or assist every 100 minutes it’s incredibly impressive.

However we said that about Werner, Havertz and Haller all of which underperformed expectations.

How will he fit in at Chelsea?

As I said above Nkunku is very versatile and could play as a CF or any of the attacking midfield positions.

By all accounts and his own preference is to play as a second striker.  If Pochettino plays 4-2-3-1 then he should play as the CAM behind the CF.

Whether that CF is Lukaku remains a doubt as it appears Lukaku isn’t that keen on returning. Nkunku in absence of another signing could take up the CF role where he has been successful but that doesn’t appear to be the optimum use of him.

It’s hard to imagine that Aubameyang will still be there or that there will be enough faith in Broja to lead the line so how the CF role plays out is still unknown.

Lastly there’s new signing Nicolas Jackson who we profile below.  Will he be Chelsea’s starting CF?  It’s hard to know at this stage but he doesn’t have that much experience to be the starting CF for a club with Champions League aspirations.

In FPL it will be interesting to see if Nkunku is classified as a Midfield or a Forward.

He definitely has the potential to be Chelsea’s penalty taker as well given Havertz, Mount and Jorginho have left.

Follow us over preseason and you will see how he fits in to the Chelsea team.

Nikolas Jackson

Jackson has signed for Chelsea from Villareal for £32m.

Jackson is a 25 year old Senegalese International Centre Forward.   He is 1.88 m tall. He plays principally as a CF but can play RW.

He has played 3 times for the Senegal national team.
