Barnet 6 C Palace 2

Palace: Henderson, D.Boateng, Inniss, Woods, Riedewald, Dreher (M.Boateng 84), McGregor, Flanagan (Hobbs 79), Daly, Wickham (Lokilo 79), Sorloth.

Subs not used: Tupper, Pierrick, Aveiro.

Goals Boateng and Wickham

The game is of little use as a pretty much reserve team was put out.  1 player we are monitoring is £4.5m forward Wickham who has to have an outside chance of starting GW1.  He scored which is some sort of positive.  Interestingly Sorloth is in the team but not in FPL.  I guess he is in theory competition for Wickham.

Scunthorpe 0 Leicester 1

Scorer Perez

First Half: Jakupovic, Soyuncu, Evans, Tielemans, Vardy, Albrighton, Perez, Pereira, Mendy, Fuchs, Leshabela.

Second half : Jakupovic, Justin, Morgan, Iheanacho, Maguire, Amartey, Elder, Ghezzal, Muskwe, King, Leshabela (Knight, 66).

Another fairly meaningless match with a different teams in each half.  The first half team being the strongest I guess.  Perez had good reviews although it wasn’t clear from what I read what his position was.  No Maddision. £4.5m Def Soyuncu was mentioned by Rodgers as an in house solution if Maguire goes and interestingly he started next to Evans.

Burton 2 Sheffield United 1

Scorer;  Sharp (assist from Stevens)

Sheffield United: Moore, Baldock (K Freeman 62), Stevens, Fleck (Slater 62), Basham (Jagielka 62), L Freeman (Lundstram 62), Sharp (Robinson 74), Norwood (Duffy 62), McGoldrick (Clarke 62), Stearman (Egan 62), Bryan (O’Connell 62). Not used: Dewhurst, York, Brunt, Boyes, Young.

Another game where there were multiple changes.  The starting team definitely was the strongest.

In lineup terms were hoping for £4.0m Defs Stearman or Lundstram to start.  Stearman did in this game but this gave little clue as 2 of last seasons back 3 came on later.  Stearman was talked up in the attached article though as was £5.5m cheapie forward McGoldrick.

That’s it.  7 games on Wednesday though.
