Introduction
Here’s a few draft teams to give you some ideas for your FPL teams. They possibly will change prior to the GW1 deadline of August 5 but it will give you a good indication of their final lineup.
Yaniv Salomon
Yaniv’s last 5 seasons overall ranks were 37k, 96k, 3k, 4k and 8k

One change Perisic to Walker-due to Conte’s comments regarding his fitness…
It’s normal after a serious injury to be struggling a bit to come back in the best physical condition. Honestly I’m surprised because he reduced his time to recover. We are really happy.
At the same time we are not worried but we have to pay a bit of attention to give him the right time to adapt himself to recover 100% after his injury.
I can’t see why I need to use the extra £0.5m so I’ve kept it in the Bank.
After thinking about it further I decided not to go with the double up on the two £4.0m Leicester GK’s Ward and Iversen just in case they get someone in before the transfer window closes on the 1st September
Here’s the team as it stands
Rob Reid
Rob’s last 7 seasons overall ranks were 66k, 12k, 148k, 94k, 22k, 4k and 7k

The Team
Locked-in Players
Mo Salah
The first name on my team sheet and his locked in status was reinforced by a hungry display against the best team in the league in the Community Shield last Saturday. He’ll be my GW1 Captain, no questions.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
The second name on my team sheet, he’s been a permanent part of my squad since the game launched a few weeks back. Plays for one of the 2 best defences in league, has a good fixture run to start and should bag plenty of attacking returns on top – no-brainer.
Gabriel Jesus
A steal at 8.0m in my opinion, though it seems like pretty much every manager in FPL-land has the same idea. Looks to have settled well in pre-season and again dangerous not to have at his high Effective Ownership.
Gabriel Martinelli
Another Arsenal attacking player showing good pre-season form and at a reasonable price at 6.0m. Arteta’s comments on Smith-Rowe’s fitness should allay any initial worries regarding gametime so I think it’s worth taking advantage of The Gunners good early fixture run.
Joao Cancelo
In previous seasons it’s been rare to start with more than 1 premium defender…this season I’m starting with 4 and I see many teams starting with 5! Again one of the 2 best defences in the league and great potential for attacking returns. Fantastic fixture run from GW2.
Neco Williams
He’s won the budget enabler battle in defence. At £4.0m should be guaranteed gametime, which is the most important thing in this spot though I suspect he’ll be a decent player for Forest this season as well.
Andreas
looks to be the most obvious enabler pick in midfield at 4.5m and probably the most likely of my bench players to get utilised at some stage as he should start out in a fairly advanced role for Fulham.
The Debate
7 players locked in then and these have been settled in my squad for a couple of weeks. What about the other 8 spots then?
You can see the full article on the FFGeek Patreon site with loads of other content mentioned above. That includes following Rob’s Team and 5 others with live notified transfers and it’s final lineup each gameweek.
Scott Taylor
Scott’s last 5 seasons ORs were 55k, 12k, 15k, 1k and 12k
6 changes from the last draft
£5.0m GK Ramsdale in for £4.5m Raya – had cash to upgrade to a better defence
£4.0m GK Ward in for £4.0m Sarkic – With Schmeichel leaving Ward looks to be the number 1 Leicester GK.
£5.5m Perisic in for £4.0m N Williams – holding my nerve for the moment after Conte’s comments today around his fitness
£5.0m Bailey in for £8.0m Saka – a way to get some funds and necessary after I bought in Ramsdale
£6.5m Rashford in for £5.5m Neto – Rashford could play CF given Martials injury and Ronaldo’s lack of match fitness
Here’s the team as it stands. Still need to decide on who’s sub Bailey or Perisic
Sergio Torija
Sergio’s last 6 seasons overall ranks were 45k, 262k 2k, 596k, 17k and 21k
Amazingly only 3 changes since my last draft
£4.0m Goalkeeper Ward in for Steele. Ward as the probable Leicester number 1 will be the go to £4.0m Keeeper
£6.0m Defender James for £6.0m Chilwell. Just a switch after Chilwell lack of match fitness led to him not playing in first team lineups in preseason
£6.0m Martinelli in for £6.0m Lingard – The sensible pick in for my fun pick of the last draft
Here’s the team as it stands. Amazingly I’ve got £1.5m in the bank which is good for future flexibility
