FPL team tips gameweek 30 – FFGeek contributors show their GW30 teams part 3

Here’s our FPL team tips gameweek 30 article where the 3rd group of the FFGeek contributors show their teams for GW30. There’s Keith and Yaniv. No team from Prakhar so far this week but I’ve shown his last weeks points

FPL team tips gameweek 30 – FFGeek contributors show their GW30 teams part 3

Here’s part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.

You can see our part 1 contributors article and part 2 contributors article here

Keith Spencer

Keith finished with a 3k OR last season, an incredible OR of 325 in 16/17 and 9k in 15/16.

He is one of the 10 top  FPL managers I follow weekly who’ve finished the last 3 seasons in the top 10k OR.

GW29 points: 47 (average 40) Total points 1,750 Gameweek rank 1,693k, Overall Rank: 32k, red arrow 1k, Team Value: £103.6m

Keith has used his triple captain chip

Yaniv Salomon

Yaniv finished with an 8k OR last season

GW29 points: 56 (average 40) Total points 1,762 Gameweek rank 466k, Overall Rank: 22k, green arrow 9k, Team Value: £105.5m

Yaniv has all his chips in place

A big -12 (first time ever) preparing the team for GW31 and GW33. Every minus is for 3 games to 1, so it’s worth it.
Sorry for not having time for explanations.
All the luck for our readers , especially for those who choose my “Yaniv option “, I just couldn’t find the time to prepare my team right 3 weeks ahead.
Shaw, Pogba, Kolasinac and Rashford out for Rice, Maguire, Fraser and Higuain

Prakahar has all his chips in place

Geek note:  As I write this I haven’t received Prakhars team.  Here’s his last weeks points.  If I receive it I will update the article

  1. Yaniv, I have to say you have been a major disappointment, not following your own option that some of us have decided to go with, no explanation of why and no explanation of your thinking of what you have chosen to do. I appreciate that you are under no obligation to do so, but really….

    • I am really sorry Michel, it was really all about lack of time due to personal obligations.
I really wish all of those people who chose my option to succeed more than me…

  2. Michael .. the Yaniv approach had a lot of merits at the outset but ultimately proved unworkable. The wildcard in week 30 was not feasible as the GW32 fixtures will not be known until March 17 so would have involved wildcarding blind. In addition, the transition from weeks 32 to 33 would have left people with only about 6 or 7 players in week 33, which could have been increased to 11 only by reducing the bench boost week doubles which effectively meant you may as well have played freehit in 32 and bench boosted with a full 15 in double 35.

Yaniv had previously advised he was therefore following option 2 which provided a much smoother transition in practice

    • As Andrew said it was my personal time plus the bad transition between 32 to 33.. less about the announcement of the delayed games schedule

  3. At the end of the day, the idea of this site is ideas and a much more in-depth insight into what options are available. Not actually just copy what someone else has done. There has also been an imaginary wild card article if people chose the yaniv option this week.

  4. Andrew, well, I am not so sure. Just about every option had a similar problem in it somewhere, either an unpleasant transition into or out of a blanks week or playing a chip before a information was known. I thought and probably still think that Yaniv’s option was still one of the better ones as with a tweak to the order of TC and BB (ie reversing them) you only really have to gamble that the games were going to be moved into the weeks that Geek was suggesting. And that gamble you need to take in most options anyway. I am following it and yes i’ll have a nightmare second blank week but I can live with that as many people will have a bad week then.

  5. And, umm Dave, forgive my being spiky, but I am not “just copying what someone else has done”, i’m using it as a starting point, but I would have like see what Yaniv had to say about his option as the week played out. I’ve already taken his concept and rejigged it so that the B.B. and T.C. chips are more useful and I expect i’ll be doing more adaptations in the next couple of weeks.

  6. Option 2 is silky smooth with transitions. A full team built up for 11 players in blanks 31 and 33 ( the same team fits both ), freehit for 11 players playing twice in double 32, and wildcard to give 15 players playing twice in double 35. Full teams, maximising full doubles. Very happy with it and huge points potential. Probably why over 70% of active players with full chips are on it

  7. I want to remove auba(10.8) with jmnenez(6.9)…..and keep 3.9 for future……..my friend says i can only have 0.3 in bank…..and the 3.6 will be wiped off……is he right?????

  8. No that’s ridiculous. You can have as much as you want in the bank and it’s yours as long as you need it. You don’t lose it
