Introduction

This is part 1 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.

Kris O

Kris’s last 3 seasons overall rank were 44k, 46k and 23k

A week maintaining my rank is a good outcome with just 5 returning players. I’ve now got two weeks left for my Liverpool double defence to pay back!

Gw16

Assuming he’s fit I will bring Abraham back in for Lacazette. Team selection I’m going for Ayew at Watford, leaving Söyüncü on the bench. Captain armband on Zaha after being spooked by Mane game time.

Good luck all

Joseph Crilley

Joseph’s last 3 seasons OR were 28k, 7k and 13k

It was reasonable score from the midweek games where I made two transfers which included a keeper swap and bringing Grealish who was a player that I was keen to own for the Christmas period. The squad looks solid and there are good bench options so I will be saving the transfer this week with the view to ensuring that I have two transfers for blank GW18. My medium-term plan is to transfer in Targett for Tomori next week followed by the removal of one of my Liverpool defensive double-up and Tielemans in order to bring in a Spurs midfielder for GW18 and our nice fixture run.

Ideally I would already own Dele/Son, but I will keep my blind faith in the Liverpool defence as they and Tielemans have two very good fixtures. Also, this will give me more time to monitor both players and decide who I would like to bring in (I currently favour Dele for what it’s worth). We have struggled to break Burnley down in recent games and Wolves is always a tough place to go so I do have some hope as a non-owner, but I really could do with that illusive Liverpool clean sheet!

Captaincy is interesting this week with 10 of my players away from home, but I think that I will stick with Vardy. There is a slight fear of rotation given the quick turnaround, but Vardy is as nailed as they come and has scored in his last 7 games so that’s enough for me!

Best of luck this weekend and may your arrows be green!

Yaniv Salomon

Yaniv finished with an overall rank of 4k last season and 8k in 17/18

Saving my free transfer.  My team value is crazy at £105.9m but performance is bad especially due to the new forward in my team Kane so last chance for him in GW16.  Rashford/ Abraham are waiting across the board.

Vardy will get the armband (although there is a small chance I will hurt my team and give it to Kane), my bench doesn’t exist, so I will fix it next week and in the WC coming in GW18

I went early and got Palace’s Kelly in for Janmaat.

Not sure on Janmaat’s injury and the fixtures for Palace swing it. I don’t need Kelly next week but could happily come in for Mount etc when required so happy enough.

Nearly Christmas and don’t want a sicknote player in my team

Costas Chari

Costas’s last 3 seasons overall ranks were 84k, 29k and 27k

GW15 points: 51 (FPL average 49) Total points 859 Gameweek rank 3,214k, Overall Rank: 197k, red arrow 56k, Team Value: £102.5m

Another gameweek another red arrow. 5th in a row.. Cant remember a worse run but I will roll with it.. Green arrows soon to come (I hope).

I was even lucky that my benched players performed super good. 20 points from the bench was gold.

Moving on. Drastic changed to be made… 2 transfers and a 4 point hit. Lascelles keeps his place in the team.

Martial is out. He is often injured and usually needs 3 weeks even for the slightest of injury. Zaha takes his place.

Aubameyang. He was my captain as well yesterday. Very frustrated at his teammates (cant blame him), bad body language and plays too wide. Kane comes in.

Captain. Torn between Salah and Kane. Currently on Salah.

Good luck

GW15 Recap

A few observations on the last game week before getting into the player analysis:

•’    How much do you bench bro?’ Welcome to the rotation season. I thought I was prepared with Traoré and Ayew as pretty quality subs for the December madness.. only to have Rico’s 9 3rd and not come in. Meanwhile folks that still have Dendoncker on the bench are just laughing at me. Tough week.. Again.

•    Lacazette, Martial, Zaha, Gazzaniga, Traoré, Ayew are my 6 differentials. Only Laca returned. I need two to return for a green arrow in my opinion. I looked into this and if I got one more assist from one more of them my red arrow would have changed direction.

Game week player analysis:

☆ Keeper

•    Gazzaniga. 2 points. I though Mourinho was supposed to be defensive.. The fixture was tough to be fair.

•    Roberto. This guy will sit here until I need funds. I could have burned 4 to swap him and changed Martial to Alli but I am opposed to it. I have other options, don’t want to do a change too early in the week and am trying not to burn 4.

☆ Defenders

•    Alexander Arnold. Good thing he gets assists. His defending is mediocre. He is probably more to blame for the team’s lack of clean sheets this year than we want to acknowledge.

•    Rico. I did not get the 9 off the bench. Congrats if you did. I am still happy because it means his price may increase.

•    Söyüncü. Another clean. Leicester are so impressive this season for a number of reasons.

•    Robertson. If I were to move off the double I would keep Trent.

•    Lundstram. I have him as a hedge. Full disclosure, I am happy when the blades lose. My dad is a DIE HARD Owls fan. The fact I have Lundstram in my squad is already interfering with me staying in my parent’s Will and Estate plans lol..
WAWAW

☆ Midfielders

•    De Bruyne. I saw some ridiculousness that he is an overpriced FPL option…. get a grip. He would have even more points if the finishers could finish all of his magic crosses. ‘Kevin, I am sorry I didn’t start the season with you. Please forgive me.. oh and stay healthy.’

•    Mané. For all of those that are on Salah. I fought so hard mentally to go for Salah and not Mané. I still want Salah. Ultimately the injury scared me and it fluked me into points. That being said if I had Salah I would keep him until GW18.

•    Zaha. Of course Mount scored. Annoying but this year my philosophy is not to keep players that become rotation risks in December. The Zaha fixture run looks good, he is in form too, and this game is cruel. So it was to be expected.

•    Traoré. I guess 3 off the bench is better than 2 off the bench.

•    Martial. Surprise. He is injured. He is probably dead to me for the rest of the season at this point. The minor injuries will likely always seemingly be with him so he needs to be ignored going forward. He has become Grealish in my team.

☆ Forwards

•    Lacazette. I was actually physically sick watching Arsenal in the first half. They were so lackluster I turned the game off at half time. I was then happy to get a phone update saying Laca scored! Some planned fixture runs actually work out. 3 goals in 3 games.

•    Vardy. Hard not to captain until further notice.

•    Ayew. Of course NOW you think why not Mousset. Why not Ings. Life is life. Maybe Ayew braces next week. LoL. Probably not but he has a crazy fixture run and is in the penny jar price tier.

Upcoming GW16

☆ Musical Chairs

Tony Martial ➡️ Wilf Zaha

☆ Captain

Jamie Vardy. VC Saaaadio Mané.

☆ Substitute decisions

Roberto. Ayew. Traoré. Rico.

Good luck.
