Introduction

This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. In the future it also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.

See the part 1 contributors and part 2 contributors article.

fairly average week in the end where I had a red arrow of 13k, meaning over the last 2 weeks I’ve essentially not moved. Positives were my transfers, as I took out Mount and Alexander Arnold for Aurier and Alli (3 vs 15 points). Captain Vardy did the business after I last minute changed from Mane given the rumours of his benching. In the end it didn’t matter as he would have been vice anyway. Jimenez got an assist but was otherwise quiet in the game and everyone else blanked. The main damage particularly in mini leagues was from Maddison, but Son/Kane, Rashford and Aubameyang also dented my rank.

I have a number of frustrations with my team. Mcginn just isn’t doing it for me, and since the formation switch by Villa to move Grealish further forward, McGinn’s underlying stats have suffered as well. Sterling is also sat there, sucking up vital funds which could be used to get Rashford, Son, Pulisic or Richarlison (who is going under the radar).

Despite this, I am going to hold this week. 2FT going into Liverpool’s blank GW18 will be useful. I’ll likely be moving Mane on for 2 weeks (blank + Leicester away) and benching Robertson. Hopefully Sterling can get some goals against Arsenal at the weekend. I like the look of the squad for the weekend, although the fixtures also look decent for the higher owned players I’m up against e.g. Maddison.

Some great captain options this week, but Vardy at home to Norwich after no champions league and his current form is surely impossible to resist. Currently Aurier is first on my bench.

Good luck all

Well I’m not helping myself this season. Trying to be clever with a Jesus captain backfired massively and it’s another huge red.

Onwards to this week and despite the terrible rank I’m starting to feel quite positive with a plan that’s coming together over the next few weeks. I was planning on holding my Liverpool assets but I’m now looking to sell Mane in 18 with a plan to buy Salah back in 20. It also allows for a midfielder with a nice fixtures in 19/20.

This week I moved early as I had nothing itb and both rising. Jesus and Zaha to Rashford and Alli with two free transfers.

I’ve learnt from my mistake; Vardy captain.

Good luck all.
