Introduction

This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. In the future it also wont cover early transfers. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.

Hi all, so still 14k , still with 2 ft for the third time in a row, still without Jimenez and Ings (I think I am the only one in the top 1m who is without both of them). I could do Jimenez and Ings for Vardy and Ayew, but I just still have faith in Vardy to start partying again from next week and even vs tired City this weekend. So I will go again only for 1 sub , it will be Boly for Holgate, and Boly will go the the starting lineup instead of Lascelles. As for the armband, I know that Salah is a massive favorite this GW, but my gut feeling tells me that Mane will outscore him, so I am with Mane, hope I will not fall in OR big this GW!

Good luck all Yaniv

Ps I am so anxious to get already into the top 10k hope it will come soon

transfer summary:  Boly in for Holgate likely transfer

Rob Cosgrove

GW26 points: 65 (FPL average 56) Total points 1,509 Gameweek rank 1,849k, Overall Rank: 111k, green arrow 10k, Team Value: £104.8m

Not a bad score overall considering I had Lundstram, Soyuncu and Grealish on my bench for a total of 20 points! Sidibe keeps letting me down by not even starting some game weeks and giving me no attacking output. Evertons good run of fixtures has come to an end now so time to move him and Calvert-Lewin out.

Wolves fixtures are amazing and Norwich is a great entry point for Jimenez so Calvert Lewin is gone for him. To fund this transfer I was hoping of taking Sidibe out but this only left me 3.9m. There are a few players at that price who will never play due to them not even being at the club anymore, so that plan failed.

Looking ahead at the blank gameweek 28 as it stands I have De Bruyne, Lundstram and Grealish with no game which would be my 3 bench players that week. I would like 1 playing bench player just in case of injuries so the only 1 who I could sacrifice to fund my Jiminez transfer was Grealish. His fixtures aren’t great after the blank so I would probably bench him for those games which leaves a lot of funds on my bench.

Not the best exit point this week with Villa playing away at Southampton who have the worst home record in the league but it is a risk I am willing to take. I wanted the cheapest replacement who at least plays which is the 4.3m mids of Romeu, Hayden and McCarthy. Out of these options McCarthy is playing the most minutes so he comes in. He will always be a bench player in my team.

Summary: 2 FT used – Calvert Lewin, Grealish OUT; Jiminez, James McCarthy in.

Thoughts on Gameweek 26

When I saw the team sheet for West Ham I thought it was going to be a bloodbath. I can’t catch a break.

Thoughts on Gameweek 27 and beyond

I need to use my 3 available free transfers between now and gameweek 28 sensibly as I have 5 non-playing assets then: Lundstram, Baldock, Grealish, Aguero and De Bruyne. Additionally, Hayden has lost his starting berth so gameweek 28 is looking bleak with possibly only 8 starters.

A complication is that City may have a double in gameweek 29 so I’m inclined to hold Aguero and De Bruyne for the time being. I’m also reluctant to lose Grealish right now although he’ll probably go after this week. A further complication is that gameweek 31 is looking to be a major blank and I have very limited coverage for the confirmed and likely-to-be-played games. Wolves seem to be the only assets which meet all requirements but even with a number of transfers focused on gameweek 31 it’s likely I’ll still need to free hit in gameweek 31. So, I’ll not let gameweek 31 skew my thoughts too much.

I’ve toyed with a few options. I’ve gone with the 3rd option below:

– Baldock out for Gomez

– Lundstram out for Saiss

– Baldock and Lundstram out for Saiss and Gomez

– Grealish and Lundstram out for Traore and Gomez

Captain Salah. Vice will be Ings, Alexander-Arnold or Aguero.
