Introduction

This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Tough decision this week. Here is where my head is at for transfer:

I have 6 players from Che, Lei, Mun, Ars, in Vardy/Bruno/Nacho/ESR/Shaw/Rudiger. They ‘should’ all double 35 and blank 36.

Ideally I will roll next week to swap two of them out and bench three of them in BGW36. That leaves me with only 10 playing that week. So I can take a hit that week if need be for a ‘mini wildcard’. Or I can use the transfer this week to move one out and not need a hit later. If that is the case, I would want it to be ESR, as I doubt I will use him in DGW35 anyway.

So here are my options this week as I see it:

  1. Roll
Just roll and have two free’s for next week. Play Jota.
  2. Swap Taylor to Dallas
I love Dallas’ fixtures now. He would be a great buy right now. Entering vs a Brighton team that barely scores is a nice entry point too. The issue is this locks in a -4 from 35 into 36. I would play Dallas and bench Jota this week.
  3. Take the -4 hit now; moving ESR to Lingard.
I am 0.5M short. I could move Martinez to Meslier or Konsa to a 3.9M Defender like Bryan. Martinez doubles but they are not cleaning any more. Another option is Pickford, as he doubles and they look good defensively, but he doesn’t seem nailed.

Which option do you think is best? I am leaning towards option 3 and getting Lingard and Meslier for a -4.

As for the Kane thing. It was a 3 week decision for me to get Vardy. Last week didn’t work out but I preferred having Vardy at the start of the GW. This week I would prefer Kane, although Vardy v Sou isn’t bad. Next week Vardy likely doubles so I prefer him for that. So I am not swapping back.

Avoided Spurs assets for now at least.
I have 1 FT, I may rush a Son transfer in for Jota, Greenwood or Bruno Fernandes.

If I do I that may change capt
but going for Iheanacho and vice Vardy
for now

Not very exciting but surging into
500k so watch out

Rob Cosgrove

Rob’s last 4 seasons overall rank were 64k, 45k, 40k and 23k

GW33 points: 52 -4 (FPL average 36) Total points: 1,899, Overall Rank: 1,045k, green arrow 51k, Team Value: £103.4m

A decent week in the end saved by captain Iheanacho to secure another green arrow. Nobody else really came away with any credit for my team so not much to go Into there!

Note: this is written early Thursday morning

Onto this week and my mind is frazzled with the lack of confirmation regarding the double gameweek in 35. I need to wildcard this week to bench boost for it so I feel like I’m going to be guessing on the assumptions that the fixtures are brought forward. I just don’t know what to do. I’ve came up with this quick draft wildcard focusing on double gameweek players.

It would then give me 9 gameweek 36 players with a fixture in the blank GW36 plus a possible double in GW35. That’s 7 now from Aston Villa, Everton, Palace and Southampton plus 2 transfers for GW36.

Transfer summary: To be confirmed

Here’s a draft wildcard although it has yet to be activated
