Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live

Note I am changing from FPL average to the post hits 12 top Managers average  who have finished in the top 10K the last 3 seasons that I follow

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 5 seasons ORs were 1k, 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW35 points: 41 (12 Top managers average 45Total points: 2,335, Overall Rank: 21k, red arrow: 3k  Team Value: £104.6m

Rick has used all his Chips

Well, that was a week to forget. Fresh from declaring how weak my bench has become post Bench Boost, three of my starting eleven never made it onto the pitch. My captain, Salah, also started on the bench and came on for a glorious one pointer. It wasn’t all misery, of course, as I had five players who mustered up a return – I just didn’t have the one player that mattered…

Son

Now Cancelo is back in my team, Son is my biggest threat by far. He’s a popular choice around my rank (and was captained by fair few as well) so his haul assured me a red arrow. Even if I’d given the armband to Kane instead of Salah, I’d have only got five extra points and a slightly smaller red. It’s frustrating, but I made my choice between Kane and Son weeks ago and clearly went the wrong way. I suppose the question is whether it’s too late/worth the transfers to switch or should I stand by the choice and hope Kane and Kulusevski come good in the last few matches – at least I’m almost guaranteed to get an assist whenever Son scores.

DGW36

I’m not really looking forward to DGW36. Could be a bad one. Sure, I’ve landed here with a full team of doublers, including many of the big names, but the Bench Boosters will be out in force. With my current team I’ll have to wince my way through watching Son and City play twice, but I also need to hope the popular cheap options stay quiet. Frankly, I’m going to need some luck.

Transfer

I don’t really need to make a transfer and I certainly don’t need to take a hit – that’s the only small advantage I have this week. I already have a full team of doublers, so I’m playing with fire shifting players around, but the Son issue is hanging over me.

That in mind, I’ve been toying with the idea of downgrading Kane to Richarlison and bumping Kulusevski up to De Bruyne this week. It would cost me four points, but I’d gain City’s best player for DGW36 and secure another doubler for DGW37. It doesn’t get me Son immediately, obviously, but he’s unlikely to be a popular captain this week due to the trickier fixtures anyway. I could then drop De Bruyne to Son in GW37 to stop any further hurt he has planned. Effectively I’d spend two weeks, two transfers and four points switching Kulusevski and Kane to Son and Richarlison via De Bruyne.

I could bore you with a list of pros and cons but my main issue is that any transfers I make this week seem just as likely to backfire as anything else. A part of me wants to go for it but, as tempting as a late shake-up is, I might be better off just letting go of the wheel and seeing what happens with my existing team. I imagine I’ll be gritting my teeth and rolling the transfer despite the temptation.

Captain

I expect the majority of managers will be picking a captain from either Liverpool or Man City. It will be Salah cap for me, Cancelo Vice.

Transfer summary: Likely carrying over the free transfer

Kris O

Kris’s last 7 seasons ORs were 19k, 39k, 44k, 46k, 23k, 12k and 19k

Gw35 saw my first green arrow after four reds and I’m back in the top 10k, just. I planned to be playing my benchboost in 36 (though as below this might not happen now) – I have one transfer and nothing in the bank.

With Digne unexpectedly returning I had 14 fit players, all of who double. However with the breaking news that Ramsey is now a major doubt and confirmation that 4.9m Cucho who’s been injured for a few weeks, has been ruled out of the first game at the weekend I need a -4 to field a full fifteen. Unfortunately Ramsey’s obvious replacement is Gordon or Dewsbury-Hall, neither give me sufficient cash to move Cucho to anyone other than Gelhardt from Leeds, not great as he probably gets two short substitute appearances for two points.

I’m then really looking at a -8, with the move I’d consider is changing my 5.2m keeper Sa, who plays Chelsea and Man City, to a cheaper doubling keeping: Pickford who gives me 0.4m; Krul who gives me 0.7m; and Foster who gives me 1.1m.

I could then have Dennis, Nketiah or Pukki as my Cucho replacement. I’m not sure it’s worth a -8 though. My alternative is roll and tackle my bench boost chip in 37 with two transfers in hand and some hope the Cucho and Ramsey are fit again.

Overall I don’t expect much from this week (whether I bench boost or not), and feel a number of my players will rest for one game (Robertson, Laporte) plus I feel exposed with my lack of Chelsea assets. Captain will be Salah.

Transfer summary either carry over the free transfer or bench boost off a -8 of Ramsey, Sa and Cucho to Gordon, Nketiah and Krul/Foster.

GW35 Review

63 points which was a green arrown from 38k to 30k. So a slightly recovery from by drop from 16k a couple of weeks ago. in reality it was just captain Son which provided me with that.

GW36 Preview

It’s bench boost time for me. Transfers will be Broja to Nkeitah. I’ll need funding by either downgrading Tarkowski or Sanchez. Only option with Sanchez would be Foster who at least doubles and saves some money on future benches. Tarkowski has more options but doubles himself in GW37. I may also do a very rare -8 and remove both to maximise on doubles this and next week.

Captain Salah

Transfer summary: Broja to Nkeitah. Then possibly Sanchez to Schmeichel and Tarkowski to Holgate -8

Scott Taylor

Scott’s last 4 seasons ORs were 12k, 15k, 1k and 12k

Bench boost will be active this week. I have 2 free transfers and am considering Schmeichel and Richarlison in for Guaita and Werner. Captain: Salah, vice: Cancelo

Transfer summary: Schmeichel and Richarlison in for Guaita and Werner.
