Introduction

This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Rick Porter

Rick’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 29k, 1k, 30k and 2k.

GW36 points: 60 -8 (FPL average 38) Total points: 2,431, Overall Rank: 1k, no rank movement,  Team Value: £104.9m

Rick has used all his chips

Any week you end up with a green arrow after a -8 has to be considered a win. 6 returners is decent, but it was more to do with what didn’t happen. Son, Calvert-Lewin, Jota, Bamford… my biggest risks got 6 points between them and that makes a huge difference.

Transfer

Even though there’s no need to use a transfer this week, I probably will anyway. Likely to be Bamford for Watkins as long as no other issues arise before deadline. To be fair (apart from when I really needed him in the double gameweek) Watkins has been pretty consistent in terms of solid – if not spectacular – returns. His last two fixtures are tough, though, and Bamford’s are far easier on paper. Even though there’s no room for him on the pitch, I’ll feel better with Bamford first on the bench to tackle any end of season surprises.

Captain

A few good options this week but Bruno sticks out due to the home match. Vice Kane.

Sergio Torija

Sergio’s last 4 seasons were 2k, 596k, 17k and 21k

Decent week for my team with 60 points (-4). Cancelo was the highlight of the week with a double attacking return, Dallas, Reguilon, TAA and Zaha all got 6 points, and Kane did the business as captain as well.

It could have been way better for me though, if Kane puts away the two shots to the post, and Everton had not disappointed us. Jota missing was also a let down, at least I got the 1 point from the bench to give me 11 players

For GW37 I am going to save the transfer, given that I already have a benching dilemma. At the moment Iheanacho is my first sub. Although a Cancelo no show would bring him in play. The rest should play, so Jota can just be left last in the bench. Also is a 50/50 pick for captain between Kane and Fernandes, for now going Kane.

Good luck all

Rob Cosgrove

Rob’s last 4 seasons overall rank were 64k, 45k, 40k and 23k

GW36 points: 53 -8 (FPL average 38) Total points: 2,112, Overall Rank: 816k, green arrow 5k, Team Value: £102.8m

I took that -8 I was contemplating in the end when I seen Van Aanholt was flagged and brought in Dallas, Bale and DCL for a profit of 7 points so relatively pleased apart from Everton somehow not scoring at home to Shef Utd!

Quick turn around and due to Jota being out for the remainder I have swapped him for Harrison. Having watched the last few Leeds games he looks on fire and as Raphinha eases back to full fitness I ole the differential pick of Harrison. Unfortunately I will be taking another points but to bring in Trent for Van Aanholt. He looks essential at the moment and the fixtures are so good.

Captain is Kane again
