I’ve taken two transfers this week for a -4, following on from last week’s wildcard.
Marcal for the injured Dier – correcting what I should have done on my wildcard costing me 16 points 😢. I’ve also got Bamford for the injured Calvert-Lewin (thanks for the late news Rafa!).
The suspended Antonio drops to the bench. This leaves a decision of either Allan or Omobamidele to play. Currently on Allan, but will think a bit more before concluding.
I’m staying with the Ronaldo bandwagon and placed the armband on him. Salah vice. Good luck all 👍

GW4 Review
A good week for me with 77 (-4) points which rose me in rank from 121k>72k.
I went pretty left field in the end, making 3 transfers for a -4. Fernandes>Sissoko allowing Ings to Lukaku and Obafemi to Calvert- Lewin (“DCL”). I want Lukaku from GW7, and I liked DCL fixtures and his underlying numbers so preferred this to Jota or Torres. Ronaldo wouldn’t have allowed this move.
GW5 Preview
I’m looking in fairly bad shape this week. DCL being injured was unexpected given he was training last week. Antonio’s red card is also tough. I had wanted to get a Wolves defender in for Tsimikas or Coufal but I now have other fires to put out. I could wildcard but I want to stick to my GW14 WC plan when Chelsea’s great fixture run ends and United begins.
With only 1FT it has to be DCL out, which is annoying given I took a -4 to get him just last week and I have other moves I want to make soon. I’ll be going for Bamford here and hoping the double up with Raphina will be profitable given their favourable fixtures.
It means having to play Coufal vs United and White vs Burnley away which isn’t ideal. Benrahma whose initial form has fizzled away will also have to be played vs united. In addition I’ll need to hope Ronaldo’s damage is limited given his large ownership and Lukaku can at least match him again in order to get anything from this week. All in all I don’t have high confidence going into the week, just hoping I minimise rank loss.

GW 5 team:
With 1.7m in the bank I had been debating whether to upgrade Toney to a Bamford or Jimenez or use it to upgrade Tsimikas to a Chelsea defender. In the end, I decided to do neither and instead further saved up some cash by doing Benrahma to Gray, who still got 2 good fixtures coming up and is still at a benchable price point if need be. I have a feeling Tsimikas could start vs Palace so I have left him in the 11 as of now but it’s not final yet.
Not gonna overthink the captaincy and will stick with Mo Salah.
