Kris O

Kris’s last 3 seasons OR are 44k, 46k and 23k

Those that saw my FPL managers dilemma article will know my gut tells me Salah will start slowly. I’ve since stumbled across Henderson as an alternate hedge to a third Liverpool defender or Firmino. My team below is created in three simple steps from the ‘three Liverpool defender’ team in the previous article:

Hanley (4.0) replaces Van Dijk (6.5) moving me to a traditional back three. +2.5m
Henderson (5.5) replaces Dendoncker (4.5) and becomes a fifth playing midfielder -1.0m

The extra 1.5m allows me to upgrade Ward-Prowse (6.0) to Martial (7.5) who appears impressive in pre-season and a player I rate highly.

I recognise this team has a number of risks, most strikingly: no Salah, Henderson with a poor recent FPL history, and a bench that have significant game time risk. However I like the fact I’ve taken a few differential calls, backed my gut instincts and minimised my bench cost. If I have confidence my eleven start GW1 (Zaha biggest question at the moment) then this is likely to be my team at 7pm next Friday.

Yaniv Salomon

Yaniv finished with an OR of 4k last season and 8k in 17/18

Just the team at the moment.

Keith Spencer

Keith finished with an OR of 44k last season, 3k in 17/18 and an incredible 325 overall in 16/17

Stephen Troop

Stephen’s last 3 seasons OR are 43k, 52k and 64k

Few changes from me since my initial draft.

I have swapped Sigurdsson to Fraser. I am still fairly undecided here but Fraser’s underlying stats from last year makes £7.5m a good price and Everton haven’t been too impressive in pre-season. With the 0.5m saved I have swapped Noble, who I wasn’t happy, with to McGinn. Villa have been impressive in pre-season and have a reasonable start in terms of fixtures after Spurs in the first weekend. McGinn and Jota are definitely ones to watch. McGinn at 5.5m could be good value given I can’t stretch to 6.0m for Jota.
