Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live

Note I am changing from FPL average to the post hits 12 top Managers average that I follow

I have eleven players this week, with 1 Free Transfer and 0.3 itb. I’m sticking to my plan of dead ending the team in 27 and then most likely (95%) wildcard in 28, otherwise I’ll free hit in 28 and wildcard in 29.

In terms of my eleven players two are out of favour (Rashford and Edouard – unless he rocks up on Weds with a performance) and one, King, hasn’t scored for a long time. My plan is to take a -4 to move Salah to James Ward Prowse and King to Kane. This gives me a nice team, with the key gap (relative to popular free hits), being any Man City midfield. Dawson benched and Kane captain against a shaky Leeds defence, Weghorst vice.

Coming back to chip strategy, my potential reason for a free hit in 28 is I’m not keen on Wolves, Leeds or Newcastle players post 28 – the downside is I’m almost certainly free hitting in 30, so it feels a bit short sighted to use up my chips so quickly. Though it would allow me to maximise the upcoming doubles. My caution is the trap of doublers over excellent single game players.

As things stand my most likely route is wc 28 and FH 30. With a plan to BB when it fits best (noting doubles will be scattered through most weeks), though most likely 36. Similar with FH, 33 with fa cup semis might be popular. I’d also consider 32 when City play Liverpool or even 38 when historically we see a few rested players

Transfer summary: Likely Salah to James Ward Prowse and King to Kane –

I’m Free Hitting this week but not sure of my overall Chip strategy at the moment. Most likely though and as I said I’m not 100% sure, is that I will Wildcard 30ish and Bench Boost later. Possibly GW36 for the BB which in theory is the big double gameweek.

The team is pretty aligned to the template I’ve seen from other FPL managers although some are going for a Saints defender over Dalot or Ward-Prowse over Broja in a 352.

Costas has used his Triple Captain Chip

So I am writing this before GW26 has ended which is looking very bad at the moment with half my team not even featuring and having not playing the TC on Salah as I have already used it last week with Ronaldo.

This week I am Free Hitting and it comes not so much as a reaction to a bad gameweek as I could field 11 players originally with 1 free transfer but recent absentees in Coufal, Trossard and Rashford are forcing me to Free Hit now and probably wildcard either GW28 or GW29.

It is however a great week to wildcard as some teams have blanks and there is one double with the team
I had I couldn’t cover more than one of the popular captains either.

Here goes the Free Hit Chip then which for me is the best chip. The great thing though is I will still have another one. This gameweek I will be able to cover the popular Burnley defence and I have doubled up on them! The third Burnley spot goes to Weghorst!

it also covers popular captains in Bruno Fernandes, Kane, Son and De Bruyne with a few fun punts in Raya Mahrez, Maguire and Ward Prowse!

It does not however cover Broja who will be popular and Cancelo but you can’t have them all! I could get Cancelo if I downgrade De Bruyne to Sterling but I really like De Bruyne for this match. I could also change system and go Broja instead of Ward Prowse but I feel he is a great differential
