Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live

Note I am changing from FPL average to the post hits 12 top Managers average that I follow

So we head into the final seven weeks of the season – with managers having a variation of chips remaining and three double game weeks to go there is plenty of choice! My plan is to free hit in gameweek 33 and bench boost in 36 (though this could adapt fairly easily to bench boost 37).

With that context I head into gameweek 32 with two free transfers, which I need to use or lose with my free hit planned in 33. I plan to move Pickford to Schmeichel, with an eye on Schmeichels excellent gameweek 36 fixtures for my bench boost and Broja to Cucho, which also helps for 36, but with the added bonus of creating 0.4m cash, a good game at home to Leeds this week and moving on a player who’s ineligible to play this week. Captain Kane, I could still flip to Saka.

transfer summary: Likely Pickford out and Schmeichel in and Broja out and Cucho in

GW31 Review

An ok week for a small green arrow. A double City clean sheet and Rudiger’s long range strike were the main rank movers for me, with Son’s double figure haul and Kulusevski’s assist being neutralised in rank terms by the Doherty and Kane returns in the same game.

Otherwise it was blanks elsewhere, including a disappointing double blank from Transfer In Weghorst. His stats were poor pre GW31 and I’m regretting bringing him in even more now. At least he has Norwich next as the only consolation!

GW32 Team

1 free transfer; £3.6m in the bank.

Prior to the Pressers, I’ve got 12 available players with Broja unable to play against his parent club and the injured Idah out for the season. Digne went off after 12 minutes at the weekend, but apparently this was down to illness rather than injury so I expect him to be available for this week.

I’m therefore planning to roll my transfer this week, to give me 2 free transfers for double GW33, unless any other injury news emerges before the Friday deadline.

I’m expecting a little bit of pain this week as I have 4 players in the City v Liverpool fixture and 3 of them are defenders. I also expect Kane to be the Captain favourite and as I don’t own him he could be damaging rank-wise. I can get him in for a hit, but this would mean losing either Son or Salah and with the 2 of them also likely to feature highly in the Captaincy polls I don’t see a reason to chase Kane points for a hit when either of Son or Salah could score well, so I’ll just take the pain as it comes.

As for my own Captain choice this week, I’ve ruled out picking Salah in the City game. He was very quiet in the Watford game and faces the best defence in the league away from home (though as we all know, he can go big against anyone.) So with the armband not being on Salah, I’ve therefore gone for Son. There seems to be a weekly Son vs Kane points competition at the moment and unless you’ve got both I think the best option is just to set and forget on one and hope he outscores the other. The worry for me I guess is that Son has outscored Kane in the last 2 GWs (I was on the right side of the variance last week) and at some point things will average out. I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed!

Looking further forward, I’ve then got 2 transfers for the Double in GW33. I’ll have 2 players that blank in Digne and Ramsey so I’ll probably looks to move at least one of these for players with doubles though I’ll need to see how injuries and European results pan out before making a firm decision there. My GW34-36 transfers will then be to set up for the big double in GW36 where I plan to use my Bench Boost chip – transfers will prioritise removing red-flagged players for doublers and then trying to get 4 games out of my 2 keepers which I feel is one of the main advantages of the chip.

I’ll try and post my team on Twitter on Friday as per usual, good luck everyone!

I have two free hits left. I expect to play one in 33 and am now planning to play the second in 37.
The reason for the change is I can get 10 or 11 players with a DGW in 36 with my current team.
That leaves one free transfer than I need to use this GW.
At the moment I am now sure but selling Coutinho for a Leicester midfielder and free hitting him back in for GW37 looks a strong option.

Captain will be Kane and Saka vice.

I think I’m rolling the free transfer this week. After looking at my team on Joe’s Transfer Planner and Points Projection Tool I’m thinking about about wc34, fh36, bb37 which actually looks really good so I think I’m going to muddle through 33 without FH now.
