Introduction

It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends.

However the FFGeek team, the Transfer Planner Team and the Contributor Tracker team Plus the Contributor teams of Rob, Rick, Andrew, Kris, Kev and Joe mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make notified transfers live as they are completed. So you’re always up to date and live for a maximum £3 PCM.

The reference to 19 top managers is from the article where I follow 19 top FPL managers who have finished in the top 10k overall rank the last 3 seasons.

Pete Allaway

Pete’s last 5 season’s overall ranks are 242k, 1k, 5k, 5k and 2k

GW11 points: 20 (19 Top managers average 29) Total points: 649 Overall Rank: 1,031k, red arrow: 362k   Team Value: £102.9m

A pretty dismal gameweek 11 saw me score 20 points. 10/11 players failed to return and only managed to score 13 points between them, and that included my captain! Gordon was the only player to return with 7 points after his goal against Arsenal. This resulted in a red arrow down to 1 million.

I’ve 2 free transfers and £0.7 million in the bank ahead of gameweek 12.

Maddison to Saka will likely be the only move (assuming he is fit) I make this week and I plan to roll the second so I’ll again have 2 frees coming back from the international break.

I’ve a decision to make in defense on who to start between Porro and Tsimikas and I’m currently edging towards starting Porro. Salah is currently my captain, however I could be tempted by Saka once I’ve transferred him in.

transfer summary:  likely Maddison OUT and Saka IN

Here’s the team prior to any transfer taking place

GW11 review

Well, GW11 was certainly something, right? Most the players that had essentially halved my rank over three weeks decided to score nothing and, in a couple of cases, simply left the pitch at half-time just to eliminate any danger of further points. Sometimes things go that way. Don’t worry, they didn’t all suddenly forget how to play football, it’s just a weird blip.

As it goes, in a sea of single points, it didn’t take much to feel like a winner and, thankfully, Palmer delivered. A goal and assist from my newest recruit secured a hard-earned grey arrow. Considering the carnage, I’ll take that all day long.

The key thing to take from ‘the Gameweek from Hell’ is it largely went the same way for everyone. Most my biggest threats blanked and the one transfer I made going onto this week turned out to be a good one, so there’s little else I could have done. The player I’d have transferred in had Neto not been injured, Tsimikas, started on the bench and came on for a blank. Had I been bolder and captained Salah instead of Harland then it wouldn’t have mattered much anyway as he blanked as well.

The only reason I’m a little worse off than some is Trippier came away with 9 points and my cover, Dan ‘you’ve got one job’ Burn, was taken off at half time so didn’t bank the clean sheet. I suppose it could be argued that my subs scored well, but Archer and Kabore were never going to be first choice considering the alternatives and the fact both had started on the bench recently.

GW11 Review – Like many this was a tough week for me and don’t feel the need to go into too much detail as it’s similar to other contributors. Just grateful I’m on Porro, not Udogie and got at least one return from Bowen. The damage was a big red arrow from 1.46m to 1.96m
