FPL transfer tips GW6– Analysing the teams of 12 top FPL managers
Introduction
Here’s our fantasy premier league transfer tips GW6 article where we analyse the teams of 20 top FPL managers. These 12 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons.
The 12 managers stats
The criteria I’ve always been looking for is managers who’ve finished in the top 10k for the last 3 years when FPL has become considerably harder due to the amount of people playing and the information available. Last season we had 20. This season 12.
These managers are incredible and every bit as impressive as last season.
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 20 managers in the last 3 seasons is 3,495
2. The top 20 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 60 times playing)
3. 7 of the 20 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
Here’s their FPL IDs and last 3 season’s ranks
It is ordered by the best average of the 3 ranks
Here’s their position after GW5
note in this particular case the 370k average overall rank isn’t an average but reflects the overall rank of the total points of 361. Averages of Overall Ranks get distorted as the relationship to points is not linear
The spread of GW4 points is points 26.
Here’s a link to the google spreadsheet as the above will be very difficult to read on a phone

The Template
This is a theoretical representation of the template and not a real playing FPL team. It does have to fit into a reasonable Team Value so may not equal the most represented players in each position
This season I’m just going to give a template team which represents the most used players by these managers but also it has to fit into a reasonable team value.
The full template team is not within budget and £2m over. I had to take out Rogers and sub in Sangare although warning he didn’t start last gameweek
Here it is
