Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons
GW35 Elite Manager Analysis – Analysing The Teams Of 20 Top FPL Managers
Introduction
The criteria I’ve always been looking for is managers who’ve finished in the top 10k for the last 3 years when FPL has become considerably harder due to the amount of people playing and the information available.
The 20 managers stats
Note one of the 20 managers has stopped doing his team so I’ve replaced him with a player who meets the criteria of last 3 top 10k ORs. I haven’t changed these stats below as I write this but will do
These managers are incredible and every bit as impressive as last season.
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 20 managers in the last 3 seasons is 3,978
2. The top 20 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 60 times playing)
3. 9 of the 20 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons

note in this particular case the 78k average overall rank isn’t an average but reflects the overall rank of the total points of 2,077. Averages of Overall Ranks get distorted as the relationship to points is not linear
The spread of GW34 points is points 24.
