A great week and big rank climb! Mitrovic returned immediately following his transfer in and I made the journey to the Cardiff City stadium to watch Bernardo and Aguero put on a masterclass repaying my faith in Bernardo. Maddison repaid his hit immediately, captain Salah was unlucky again not to haul, Robertson returned again whilst Mane toiled but again looked dangerous. Wan Bissaka was the cherry on top of a great Saturday afternoon which saw an overnight 6k gameweek rank.

On Sunday I was very scared about Hazard due to his 89% ownership in the top 10k but his away form again came up short justifying me leaving him out. Alonso gave me some nice clean sheet points to finish a very satisfying week.

Richarlison looked sharp against Arsenal and the points are not far away. I am also very keen on Moura but my issue is I have no-one I want to lose at the moment with Bernardo playing at home to Brighton next week. I was lucky David Silva didn’t play this weekend, he is a menace and can easily get huge hauls every week.

Mendy to Laporte is another option although Laporte is due a rest and we still don’t know the extent of Mendy’s injury. Much to ponder and at the moment I may save a transfer as my bench have good fixtures if Mendy doesn’t make it.

My captain will likely be Aguero bar any hint of him being rested. I expect the polls to reflect this.

I switched Mendy to Mitrovic for an immediate return with Maddison again proving incredible value with another ten point haul. The defence cleaned up, Bernardo came good and Aguero and Salah continued their form with a goal apiece. I transferred Bernardo out for Moura in time for his second KC so only Mane and Zaha disappointed this week.

I was thinking about bringing in Hazard but thankfully didn’t yet but did get Alonso’s clean sheet points. No changes planned for next week but I do have my eye on Hazard, Walker, Sterling and Richarlison over the coming weeks.

An average week with a small drop in overall rank. I am missing a trick somewhere because over the past two weeks I have felt my team has performed well but I have dropped slightly twice. Maddison and Seri are great value so I will be taking a look over the next couple of weeks as to where I need to improve. The fixtures shift around soon so I be looking to take advantage of that.

Trippier, Zaha and Mane haven’t done much and they may be the first ones I cast my eye on when looking to change it up. I am tempted by Gudmundsson for Sunday’s game against Cardiff after his display on the weekend and may make a move depending on how the Saturday games go. My captain for Saturday will likely be Aguero, blank (or Gudmundsson) on Sunday and Zaha on Monday.

My Chelsea and Arsenal players had a good Thursday evening and Sunday to help me climb the ladder. I am very glad I kept Aubameyang with 26 points in four days whilst Kepa kept two clean sheets albeit cannot get a ‘7’ rating for love nor money. Maddison again made a mockery of his price with Salah and Aguero keeping the points coming in.

Transfers

I used my remaining September transfers to bring in Moura and Shaw for Pedro and Mendy and although neither did anything this weekend they both have some good fixtures coming up. For October I feel I need to maybe look at Kepa who hasn’t a ‘7’ rating all season with Ederson my prime target. Walker also seems to score well and Kane got starman for a penalty on Saturday so is clearly a ratings favourite.

Good luck everyone for GW7!
