Well this is one of the longest times I’ve ever taken to decide on my team to the extent that I have done no other articles on captain or clean sheets so apologies for this. Hopefully things will be back to normal next week
In the end unbelievably I have ended up with 2 attacking Villa players who go against my 2 Reading defenders!
Anyway here was the thought process:
I decided in the end to temporarily transfer out on of RVP Walcott and Mata and bring them back in in GW31 after missing 1 week. Mata was home to West Ham which had real hammering potential, RVP will be home to Reading and Walcott away to Swansea. Although the Swansea defence isn’t great at home it seemed the better option than Mata missing a home game to West Ham although it wasnt an easy choice definitely. I was also slightly worried about Sissoko and newcastle after the trip to Russia on Thursday
Having done that I didn’t have enough for the Benteke and Sissoko which was my preference and I still didn’t want to sacrfiifce Mata v West Ham to get it. I did debate the Sissoko Lukaku partnership but the home game to WBA home game to Swansea and then an away game to Stoke wasn’t a great coupleof fixtures. So I decided to stick with Benteke who has great stats. Having settled that my choice really came between NZogbia and Snodgrass and Snodgrass stats recently have not been great so I gambled on NZogbia and the fixtures of away to Reading and home to QPR and Lambert wanting to win going down fighting rather than defending
So here I am Walcott out NZogbia in and Benteke in Pogrebnyak out
Captain choice was Suarez as I thought with Liverpool is the best home defence then Bale was out although you could still make an argument that he prefers playing away and with Liverpool pressing high up then it could suit Bale.
Here’s the full team:
