Michael Byrom

Michael was joint winner of Sun Dream Team in 2016/17. He also finished top 300 in 18/19 and top 1k in 2017/18

GW9 – 108pts : Total – 610pts : Overall Rank- 8.2k :

 GW9

Always nice to bag a weekly score over a ton and the 108pts haul broke this team into the top 10k for the first time this season, would have been considerably higher but for Pepe’s late intervention last night dropped me down 1600 places .

Transfers

I did hint last week that I could be bringing in Matip for Mendy , well this didn’t happen as Mendy started at Palace and got a bonus clean so happy days , bit of a godsend tbh as Matip himself now looks doubtful for Sunday.  So not intending using my final transfer this week unless something drastic happens in the meantime.

GW10

So with City kicking off GW10 I’ll be praying for a clean to get off to a flying start , hopefully the rest can chip in over the weekend and of course we have the Carabao cup in midweek to digest although I don’t envisage many if any of my eleven getting too many minutes.

That’s all for now , thanks for reading and good luck this gw. Back next week.

Lee Giles

Lee finished an incredible 79th overall in Sun Dream Team in his first attempt last season

GW9 points 111  total points 605, overall rank 8k

A much better week after last weeks disaster has sent me to 8k in the overall rankings, with Sterling being the biggest scorer with 36 points,my transfer of Aguero to Kane looks ok after Kane’s 18 points to Aguero’s 13 points but I’m seriously considering swapping back with my last transfer, Kane has Liverpool then no cup game midweek while Aguero has Aston Villa at home followed by two home games against Southampton, my transfer last week was very short sighted and I think I will reverse my mistake immediately.

Transfers

Aguero ♻️ Kane

Game Week 9

Hello once again my fellow fantasy football managers. This week my team did good with 110 points. I always aim for a minimum weekly target of 100 points or more when European games are involved. The player scores are in the picture below.

Defence

A clean sheet for Ederson in the weekend vs Palace and he did well in the champions league with several good saves earning a 7 plus rating. However a bad week for his team mate Otamendi who missed the weekend game with injury and found himself on the bench for the midweek game and came on only to get booked. His position in my team is insecure. No clean sheets for Liverpool despite the return of Alisson but TAA missed champions league game through illness. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery. Lastly the star player of the week is one of my latest recruits Tomori who earned a star man award along with two clean sheets this week.

Midfield

Sterling 36, Mane 8, Mahrez 5 and Mount 3 so all the midfielders made a contribution. I also think this is the template midfield.

Sterling made the highest individual score this season of 32 points in the midweek game with a hat trick plus bonus 5 points, two assists and a star man award. He is also the first player to score over 100 points this season. I have to admit in pre season I found he was underpriced by the Sun Dream Team game at 6.5m. I thought he was worth somewhere near his current price of 7.3m.

So along with Sterling, Mane and Mount playing well and their value on the rise, all three will stay in my team barring injuries. Mahrez I am not too sure about as he is a very much a rotation risk.

Strikers

It was nice to see Kane and Spurs run riot in the champions league although their league form is still a worry. It would have been great to see Kane score a hat trick but I was happy with his two goals and star man award. Salah also scored in champions league and I thought on first viewing Mane got the assist but it wasn’t given but then again I haven’t seen the replay. Abraham should have scored against Newcastle but is doing well for his price so his position in my team is safe.

Team Status

The team has a total of 589 points and an overall position of 26k. So a rise of 17k places = a green arrow. I think I have got more green arrows than red ones so far this season which is good. I have used all of my October transfers so no transfers planned and the team has a value of 52.3m with 0.7m in the bank.

Good luck to me and everyone for game week 10. See you next week.

Tom Grogan

Tom finished an incredible 34th in Sun Dream Team last season

GW9 pts: 89 overall rank 32k

Wow I needed that. Finally a week with some healthy points scoring 89 to be exact. Only downside is that all the big boys came good. So high chance of everyone having a good week. But i will take it none the less.

Sterling Hatrick, Aguero and Son at the double. What more can you ask for. The defence was again was my downfall. United and Spurs kept clean sheets finally when Alderweireld was rested and Tuanzebe is injured. Make of that what you will…

Mane keeps being the Mane we all know and love. I actually think he’s a better player than Salah and thanks to him being listed as midfielder he is a must have across all leagues.

November will certainly be the time to sure up that shoddy defence. Thankfully only one more week to go before i can attempt to fix it!

Bryan O’Rourke

This is Bryan’s first season at Sun Dream team but he has a fantastic history in TFF finishing 37th last season and 7th in 17/18

GW9 points 107, Overall rank 85k

107 points scored for the week and positioned 85125 overall. Some good points from Sterling and Kane and a handful from the rest of the team.

Last week I mentioned I would take Pepe out and to expect a brace, which he duly obliged with tonight in the Europa league fixture. For my next trick I will swap Zinckenko for Tomori and hope the latter doesn’t get an injury. I’m not sure if the Russian is unfit or unwell but with Mendy back, his place in the City team looks in doubt in any case.

That will be all of Octobers transfers done. With only 3 transfers a month this is a tough game to make up ground from so far behind but I aim to keep plugging away and be more adventurous with the transfers from November. Best of luck
