Here’s my hypothetical wildcard for Sun Dream Team. It’s where I pretend I could start my team all over again so instead of 3 transfers I have 11. Hopefully it will help you with picking your team’s transfers
Sun Dream Team tips – If I could start my team over again
I’ve done this from the point of view of maximising my teams ranking but being mindul of not putting too many eggs in 1 basket or taking too much risk. . You may have different incentives, for example trying to catch people in front of you or block people behind you in a mini league in which case you maybe trying to anticipate what others are doing. Firstly here’s the team and then a little narrative. Remember though there’s a load of stats in the article’s prior to this so I haven’t gone into much detail.
In goal I’ve gone for Ospina as being the best value representative of the Arsenal defence even if he’s likely to be rotated for the FA Cup games. Southampton have good fixtures and a great defence so I’ve gone for 2 of their defence given the good value they are. I’ve stuck with Ivanovic over Terry as Terry is more likely to be rested if Chelsea win the league early. My cheap punt is Cresswell of West Ham. West Ham have good fixtures and he’s a good attacking full back who Sun Dream Team seem to like.
In midfield Hazard and Silva are no brainers. Mata is my one roll of the dice. Man Utd may not have the best fixtures and his place isn’t guaranteed but he is just loved by Sun Dream team so it would seem worth the gamble.
Upfront Aguero despite a dip in form is just too classy to ditch. Kane is on fire and so cheap he gives you money to invest elsewhere. Giroud is in great form and with little rotation option so he is the best Arsenal attacking representation for me.
